Alex de Minaur finishes ‘hell of a week’ with Zhuhai trophy
Alex de Minaur held off the challenge of Adrian Mannarino in the Zhuhai Championships final to win the third ATP Tour title of his career.
Having also won trophies in Sydney and Atlanta during his breakthrough year, De Minaur made it a hat-trick of titles in 2019 with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win over the Frenchman in just over two hours in China.

The big moment of the match came in game 10 of the second set as the Australian, who beat Andy Murray in the second round, broke Mannarino.
“It was a complete battle today – it could have gone either way,” De Minaur said during the trophy presentation.
“It’s been a hell of a week. It’s been tough, but we’ve put in the hard work (me and my team).”
