Ben Shelton v Jannik Sinner; Andy Murray v Tomas Etcheverry: What time are they playing
There are two big ATP events taking place in Austria and Switzerland this week and there are some spicy match-ups on the Wednesday schedule with many players looking to stay in the hunt for an ATP Finals spot.
The Vienna Open – or Erste Bank Open if you want to be technical and go with the sponsors’ name – and the Swiss Indoors Basel run concurrently this week with both tournaments offering 500 ranking points to the winner.
With four ATP Finals places still up for grabs, the chasing pack are all competing at the two European events from Monday to Sunday.
Andrey Rublev is likely to be the next man to book his ticket to Turin as he only needs one more win to join Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner in the field.
The Russian, who is competing at the Vienna Open and won his opening match on Tuesday, is on 4,275 points in the Race To Turin Live Rankings.
He is followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas (3,740), Alexander Zverev (3,415), Holger Rune (3,145), Taylor Fritz (3,055), Ruud (2,815), Hubert Hurkacz (2,810), Tommy Paul (2,620), Alex de Minaur (2,560), Ben Shelton (2,275) and Karen Khachanov (2,250).

Vienna Open
Rising American star Ben Shelton’s match against second seed Jannik Sinner is the highest-profile clash in Austria.
Shelton is on a high after winning his maiden title at the Japan Open on Sunday while he also beat Sinner at the Shanghai Masters at the start of the month. Sinner, meanwhile, won the China Open after beating Alcaraz and Medvedev.

Swiss Indoors
Holger Rune is the top seed in Basel, but the Dane won’t be in action on Wednesday. Instead, Casper Ruud and Taylor Fritz are the highest-ranked players to feature.
Andy Murray will also play as he looks to remain in the hunt for a seeding position at the 2024 Australian Open. However, all will not be lost if he exits early as he still has next week’s Paris Masters and the Metz Open remaining this season.
