British hopes end at Eastbourne as Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie crash out

Kyle Edmund’s Eastbourne hopes have been ended in a disappointing defeat to Mikhail Kukushkin in the quarter-finals.
The British number one beat Andy Murray in the second round on Wednesday, but failed to get any real momentum against 90th-ranked Kukushkin, slipping to a 5-7 6-3 6-1 defeat.

The other British hope, Cameron Norrie, also fell inthe last eight as Slovak Lukas Lacko dismissed him in two sets.
Norrie had his chances, but spurned five break points on his way to a 6-3 6-4 defeat.
Kukushkin will now play Mischa Zverev, while Lecko will face Roland Garros stand-out Marco Cecchinato inthe other semi-final.
