Daniil Medvedev says his baby girl ‘sleeps like an adult’

Daniil Medvedev says that he and wife Daria have been lucky that their daughter is a calm baby that sleeps a lot.
Medvedev and his wife have been taking the baby around the world but he says there haven’t been any problem from the sweet child.
He insists that she sleeps like an adult in an interesting but fitting subversion of the cliche phrase sleeping like a baby.
Medvedev said that if she wasn’t so easy going the couple might have had to come to a different arrangement.
He swept to his 18th ATP Tour title on Saturday, and afterwards shared a brief update on the life of his young family.
“First of all our baby is really, really calm, so she sleeps a lot. She sleeps like an adult, so we can sleep well. If she would be not like this, I don’t think it would be possible to travel with her. So, yeah, she’s such a sweet kid, so it didn’t change much,” Medvedev said.
Medvedev has kept on winning while his daughter accompanies him and he said that he had immensely enjoyed being able to spend time with his wife and child during tournaments in Doha and Dubai.
“I’m preparing as I am. Actually I was playing in Doha and Dubai only night, so I didn’t see one time how she’s sleeping. I’m leaving the hotel at probably 1. Spend the morning with her, all fun and easy, then I see her the next morning because I’m finishing so late. It was just a lot of fun to have her with us here. Hopefully a lot more titles together,” Daniil Medvedev said.
He also revealed that becoming a father prompted him to read a book cover to cover for the first time in ages.
“I will be honest, I don’t read a lot right now. Almost not at all. When I knew I’m becoming a father, that was one of the first books I read probably in years. It was about kids, trying to understand a little bit when they’re born what they going to do, what’s going to happen, maybe how you can try to translate their signals into words.”
“I’m not sure I succeeded, but I did read it. Yeah, I will be honest, I don’t have much time to read. If I have this free time, I use it differently,” Medvedev said.
Medvedev takes a 14-match winning streak into the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, although it is unclear if his daughter will make the trip to California.
