Dominic Thiem joins Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Daniil Medvedev at ATP Finals

Dominic Thiem is the latest player to book his ATP Finals ticket with his qualification coming on the back of reaching the China Open final.
The Austrian secured his place in the season-ending tournament with a tough win over Karen Khachanov in the semi-finals, coming from a set down to beat the Russian 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 in two hours and 41 minutes.
Thiem is the fifth player to secure his place at The O2 Arena in London from November 10-17 with Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Daniil Medvedev the other players already confirmed.

“For me personally, it was one big goal when I started the season,” the 26-year-old said.
“I’m very, very happy that I made it again. But it’s not because of today’s win, it’s because of all the season. It’s a big honour for me to again be a part of [such a] big event in London. It also shows that I [have] played another very good and consistent season. I’m looking forward to it a lot.”
Thiem will play Stefanos Tsitsipas in Sunday’s final after the Greek defeated Alexander Zverev 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 in the second semi-final.
