‘I am not able to play,’ says Nick Kyrgios as he withdraws from the New York Open

Australian Nick Kyrgios won’t feature in the 2020 New York Open after an old injury flared up.
World No 20 Kyrgios was last in action in the fourth round of the Australian Open as he went down in four sets against then world No 1 Rafael Nadal.
He was set to make his debut in the Long Island tournament next week, but injury has forced him out.
“Hey New York Open fans, really disappointed I can’t make it this year. I was really looking forward to playing on the black courts at NYCB Live,” the six-time ATP Tour title holder said in a statement.
“My shoulder has flared up and I am not able to play.
“I hope everyone still goes out to see the great tennis at the New York Open.”
