Next Gen ATP Finals prize money revealed with eight qualifiers now set for season-ending event
The Next Gen ATP Finals will be the final tennis tournament on the 2025 ATP Tour calendar and the eight players who will compete in Jeddah have now been confirmed along with the prize money on offer.
Last year’s runner-up Arthur Fils was the first man to book his ticket to the season-ending tournament for players aged 20 and under with Joao Fonseca the last one to qualify for the event at the King Abdullah Sports City.
Organisers have also revealed the prize money for the tournament as the kitty has increased from $2,000,000 in 2023 to $2,050,000 for the 2024 Saudi Arabia event.
No points are on offer for the players and the ATP does not count it as an official title, but the results are added to players’ win–loss season record.
A different scoring system is also used as it is best of five sets and first to four games in a set with tie-breaks at three all. There is no ad-scoring with the server choosing the service box.
Last year’s winner Hamad Medjedovic won the tournament undefeated and he claimed a cheque of $514,000 – more than double his career prize money earnings, which was $415,858 before the tournament.
This year an undefeated champion will earn $526,480.
Fils and Fonseca will be joined by Alex Michelsen, Jakub Mensik, Shang Juncheng, Learner Tien, Luca Van Assche and Nishesh Basavareddy in the eight-player field
Each of them will receive a participation fee of $150,000 while alternates Martin Landaluce and Coleman Wong will get $15,000.
