‘I’m a completely different player now’, roars resurgent Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic says his early season troubles are firmly behind him after a stunning return to form in the second half of the year.
The Serb struggled to regain his best after a persistent elbow injury, and he couldn’t win a match at the beginning of the season.
He showed signs of recovery at the French Open, although still crashed out to outsider Marco Cecchinato, before winning both Wimbledon and the US Open.

“I haven’t won too many matches the beginning of the year.
“After the surgery I was not managing to play my best, and that has changed, so obviously the more you win, the more comfortable and more confident you feel on the court.”
“I think I’m a completely different player than I was in first five, six months of the year,” he said. “Hopefully the outcome can be different as well.”
