Patrick Mouratoglou has shared his thoughts on Joao Fonseca, Jack Draper, Arthur Fils & Jakub Mensik and singled out the player who he feels has “the greatest potential.”

The young quartet of Fonseca, Draper, Mensik and Fils have all made impressive strides on the ATP Tour in 2025.

Draper is at a career-high ranking of world No 6 after winning his biggest title to date in Indian Wells last month, while Mensik secured his maiden title at the Miami Open.

Fils is at his career-best ranking of 14th after reaching the quarter-finals of the Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo.

Fonseca, who claimed his first career title in Buenos Aires in February, has made a rapid surge into the top 60 after starting the season ranked 145th.

In an interview with Eurosport France, Mouratoglou revealed 18-year-old Brazilian Fonseca is the player he expects to have the most success.

“On the aspect of belief in himself, I think Fonseca is exceptional from that point of view,” declared the Frenchman.

“You have to look at that, but not only that: the structure they put in place, the game too, you can’t escape it, the ability to not get injured, the quality of the bodies, the weak points… I think that today, the one with the greatest potential is Fonseca, of all of them.”

Asked about Draper, Mensik and Fils, the renowned coach said: “They have great potential, undeniably. There’s one who gets injured a lot, namely Draper.

“There’s a real problem in my opinion. There’s one in particular whose shot is much weaker than the other, and that could be detrimental to him in the long run, namely Mensik.

“Arthur’s mentality is really very good. We’re not used to that in France. That’s a huge plus that he has, undeniably. Physically, he’s a player who also has above-average skills. And then, he’s making his way, and he’s doing it quickly. That’s a very good sign.

“Fonseca, he’s much faster than everyone else. And that’s always a very, very important sign.”

Mouratoglou currently coaches four-time major winner Naomi Osaka, having previously worked with Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune and Marcos Baghdatis.
