Rafael Nadal injury update: When will world number two be back in action?

Rafael Nadal will give himself a month to get fit for the Australian Open, it has been revealed.
The world number two ended his season early, undergoing ankle surgery before withdrawing from the ATP Tour Finals.
Speculation has mounted since as to when he would be fit to return, but former coach Toni Nadal has revealed his nephew’s plans.
“Rafael took the decision to undergo surgery for a problem he suffered in a training session and the doctor of the Federation suggested him to do it”, Toni told Diario Vasco.
“I spoke to him and he plans to start training on December 4 or 5.
“He will [then] have more than one month to come to the Australian Open in a good condition.”
