Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have the ‘most beautiful rivalry in tennis history’, according to one ATP Tour star.
Italian Marco Cecchinato, who jumped 45 places in the world rankings during 2018, has been giving his views after a very successful campaign.
He has also revealed who gets his vote as the best player within tennis’ most talented triumvirate of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
“The rivalry between Roger and Rafa has been the most beautiful one in tennis history,” Cecchinato told Tennis World.
“I had voted for Roger as my favourite player for the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award, but I am happy that Rafa won the Award this year as well.
“Roger impresses me more than Rafa and Nole, because he is an unbelievable talent.
“He has such a game that looks like that he does everything with easiness.
“He is the player that fans love to watch the most.
