Roger Federer reclaims world number one spot with Stuttgart semi-final win

Roger Federer reclaimed the world number one spot as he reached the final in Stuttgart.
The Swiss top seed, playing in his first tournament since hard-court season, came from behind to defeat Australian Kyrgios 6-7 6-2 7-6.
The 36-year-old had trailed clay-court king Rafael Nadal by just 100 points entering the week, but continued to show his grass-court pedigree by battling past an impressive Kyrgios.
“It is very exciting and I have got another final so it is great news,” Federer said.
“It would mean a lot to me to win Stuttgart – no doubt about it.
“I am really excited to play Milos, he is in great shape again and it is nice for him.
“I hope I can play another great match and I am really excited to be in the finals here. No doubt about it.”
Federer will meet Milos Raonic in Sunday’s final after the Canadian defeated Lucas Pouille 6-4 7-6.
