Stefanos Tsitsipas confirms he will only get Covid-19 vaccine if it becomes mandatory to compete

Stefanos Tsitsipas has revealed that he has not been vaccinated against the coronavirus, saying he will get the shot should it become mandatory to compete on the ATP Tour.
Getting the Covid-19 vaccine is not compulsory, but the ATP issued a statement in March urging those involved in tennis to get vaccinated after several players publicly voiced their concerns over the vaccine.
However, the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray have confirmed that they have had their shots.
Tsitsipas was asked during a Cincinnati Masters press conference about getting vaccinated and he replied: “No one has told me anything. No one has made it a mandatory thing to be vaccinated.”
He added: “At some point I will have to, I’m pretty sure about it, but so far it hasn’t been mandatory to compete, so I haven’t done it, no.”
