Venus Williams did a nice Q&A with Spanish paper Marca before the start of the Madrid Open and she was asked about the best players in the world.
“I think it’s difficult to talk about the whole history because there have seen great players in every era, but I would definitely rate Rafa (Nadal) and Roger (Federer) among the best,” the American said.
When asked about the females, she replied: “It is obvious that Serena is the best tennis player of all time. I’m her sister, I’m not going to tell you anything else …”
Johanna Konta won her first match at the Madrid Open and feels she has what it takes to be successful on clay, reports The Metro. The British No 1 also bemoaned the lack of credit given to the players and teams who play outside the World Group.
Judy Murray appeared in The Mail on Sunday’s You Mag and she discusses wide-ranging topics including cooking, dating, Tinder and how Wimbledon is a stressful time.
