In Tennis Today, Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev, the latter dressed in all white, hit the red carpet in Acapulco while Novak Djokovic confirms there is a Big Three WhatsApp group.

What’s on the site
On the back of Roger Federer’s announcement last week that he will be sidelined for a few months, one of his former coaches sees no reason why he can’t make another successful comeback and win Wimbledon.

And in case you missed it, Federer is not the only player who will be absent for a while as two-time Grand Slam finalist Kevin Anderson has also undergone surgery.

World No 1 Novak Djokovic was asked about Federer and Anderson’s absence and he admits he is sad to see the pair sidelined. (If you are just here for the WhatsApp group story, then continue to scroll.)

As for your weekend tournament winners, Simona Halep did the business in Dubai.

Over in Marseille, Stefanos Tsitsipas successfully defended his Open 13 Provence title.

And in South America, it was Cristian Garin who won his ninth match in a row as he picked up the Rio Open trophy.

What’s in the news
Former world No 1 Dinara Safina spoke to WTATennis.com about Kim Clijsters’ second comeback and Sofia Kenin’s meteoric rise.

We are a little late with this, but the Glasgow Times’ Graeme Macpherson reckons Aidan McHugh is the heir to Andy Murray’s throne.

To be fair to both Macpherson and McHugh, the story does say “The 19 year-old from Bearsden is not brash enough to push himself forward to be considered ‘the next Andy Murray’ just yet given he is still in the relative infancy of his career.”

But it’s a good read with McHugh praising both Andy and his brother Jamie, saying: “They’re both up for chatting rubbish as well! We like to slag each other off a bit on social media so that’s always good fun. And it shows they don’t take themselves too seriously.

“Their success gives me a lot of confidence and it excites me to try get as close as I can to what they’ve achieved. If I could get anywhere close I would be delighted.”

Working mom Serena Williams exhausted, but loving what she does. The 23-time Grand Slam winner posted a picture on Instagram and Glamour.com decided to write a little piece about it.

The Bryan Brothers played their final Delray Beach Open the past week and of course they won the doubles title. ATPTour.com has a nice little tribute video for the greats.
