Gallery: Injury woes and teary exits on day two at the Australian Open

First-round action continues at the 2019 Australian Open on Tuesday as Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Simona Halep and Serena Williams took to the court.
She may have found herself on her backside during her match, but Madison Keys still cruised into the second round.
Australian fans were out in full force.
But one of their local hopes Thanasi Kokkinakis made a painful exit as he was forced to retire with injury.
It wasn’t a great day for Australia as Nick Kyrgios also required medical treatment before being sent packing by Milos Raonic.
Former Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka also made teary exit.
Star in the middle as Serena Williams kicked off her campaign for a 24th Grand Slam.
Sister Venus Williams also eased into the second round.
Simona Halep was given a big scare, but survived.
Novak Djokovic was in cruise control, so much so that he could play with his racket.
