WATCH: Novak Djokovic in ‘super secretive’ training session at Rod Laver Arena

Novak Djokovic hitting during training

Novak Djokovic hit the courts on Tuesday following his visa fiasco, but it was a behind closed doors session at Rod Laver Arena with “TV screens blanked out”.

It has been a chaotic start to the Australian summer for the defending Australian Open champion as he was held in isolation by the Australian Board Force shortly after arriving in Melbourne on Thursday.

After more than 10 hours in detention, his visa was revoked and he spent several days at a detention facility after he opted to challenge his deportation. On Monday a judge quashed the decision to cancel his visa and ordered that he be released.

But the drama is not over yet as the Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke could still use his personal power to again cancel the visa.

However, Djokovic took to the training court hours after Monday’s ruling and he was again back on Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday.

There was no live feed of the sessions though with BBC tennis correspondent Russell Fuller tweeting: “He practised today on the Rod Laver Arena. Behind closed doors, with TV screens blanked out. Super secretive – the only evidence was provided by an @9NewsAUS drone”

Below is said drone footage from Nine News Australia.

He was accompanied by his coach Goran Ivanisevic at Tuesday’s training session at Melbourne Park.
