The eight players who will feature at the 2024 ATP Finals have been confirmed and the season-ending event will feature three Grand Slam winners and one debutant.

World No 1 Jannik Sinner will headline the tournament and he will be joined by fellow major champions Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev in Turin.

Medvedev and Alexander Zverev are the only former champions in this year’s draw following Novak Djokovic’s decision to skip the tournament. Djokovic is also the defending champion, but he withdrew due to injury.

The only newcomer at the 2024 edition is Alex de Minaur and he is the first Australian to compete at the ATP Finals since Lleyton Hewitt in 2004.

Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev complete the 2024 cast while former champions Grigor Dimitrov and Stefanos Tsitispas will be the alternates.

2024 ATP Finals line-up

1. Jannik Sinner – 10,330 points
2024 W-L record: 65-6
Titles: 7
Ranking: 1
Prize money for year to date: $12,032,935

Jannik Sinner has dominated the 2024 tennis season as he is already assured of finishing the campaign as the year-end No 1.

The 23-year-old, who became the first Italian world No 1 in June this year, has won the most titles (7), reached the most finals (8) and leads the prize money for 2024 ($12,032,935).

His biggest titles came at the Australian Open where he won his maiden Grand Slam while he also collected the US Open in September.

Sinner also won three ATP Masters 1000 titles as he picked up trophies at the Miami Open, Cincinnati Open and Shanghai Masters.

The Italian will make his third ATP Finals appearance with his best performance coming last year when he finished runner-up to Djokovic.

2. Alexander Zverev – 7,315 points
2024 W-L record: 66-20
Titles: 2
Ranking: 2
Prize money for year to date: $7,318,906

The 2024 season has been a renaissance campaign for Alexander Zverev as he returned to a Grand Slam final, finishing runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros, and also climbed to No 2 in the rankings again.

The German won “only” two titles this year, but they were big ones at the Italian Open and Paris Masters.

Zverev is a two-time ATP Finals winner with his titles coming in 2018 and 2021.

3. Carlos Alcaraz – 6,810 points
2024 W-L record: 52-11
Titles: 4
Ranking: 3
Prize money for year to date: $9,122,838

Carlos Alcaraz looked set to go toe-to-toe with Jannik Sinner for the year-end No 1 ranking, but he has fallen flat in recent weeks.

The Spaniard, though, dominated during the summer months as he won the French Open and Wimbledon while his other two titles came at the Miami Open and China Open.

This will be Alcaraz’s second appearance at the ATP Finals following his run to the semi-finals last year.
