Carlos Alcaraz has been the man to beat since the beginning of the clay-court season and he registered his 21st consecutive victory in the third round of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships.

Here, we look at the four active ATP players who have amassed the longest winning streaks.

4. Daniil Medvedev – 20 wins (2020-2021)

Daniil Medvedev ended 2020 in stunning form on indoor hard courts as he won his last 10 matches of the season.

The Russian saw off Kevin Anderson, Alex de Minaur, Diego Schwartzman, Milos Raonic and Alexander Zverev to win the Paris Masters for the first time.

At the 2020 ATP Finals in London, Medvedev defeated Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Schwartzman, Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem in an impressive unbeaten title run.

Medvedev carried his form onto the outdoor hard courts of Australia in 2021 as he started the campaign by leading Russia to victory at the ATP Cup with wins over Schwartzman, Kei Nishikori, Zverev and Matteo Berrettini.

At the 2021 Australian Open, Medvedev beat Vasek Pospisil, Roberto Carballes Baena, Filip Krajinovic, Mackenzie McDonald, Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

His streak, which included an amazing 12 wins over top 10 opponents, ended with a straight-set loss to Djokovic in the final.

3. Carlos Alcaraz – 21* wins (2025)

Carlos Alcaraz saw a nine-match winning run end when he fell to Holger Rune in the 2025 Barcelona Open final, but he has not lost a match since then.

At the Italian Open, Alcaraz earned wins against Dusan Lajovic, Laslo Djere, Karen Khachanov, Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti en route to the Italian Open final — where he downed Jannik Sinner for his maiden title at the Masters event.

The Spaniard continued his clay-court surge at the French Open as he overcame Giulio Zeppieri, Fabian Marozsan, Damir Dzumhur, Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, Musetti and Sinner — the latter in an epic championship match to defend his crown.

The 22-year-old then translated his form onto grass to secure his second title at the Queen’s Club Championships, beating Adam Walton, Jaume Munar, Arthur Rinderknech, Roberto Bautista Agut and Jiri Lehecka.

Alcaraz has added victories over Fabio Fognini, Oliver Tarvet and Jan-Lennard Struff at Wimbledon, and looks primed to stretch his streak further. The world No 2’s run has featured five wins against top 10 players.

2. Jannik Sinner – 26 wins (2024-2025)

Jannik Sinner had a 15-match winning streak snapped by Alcaraz in the 2024 China Open final, but he did not taste defeat again for seven months.

At the Shanghai Masters, Sinner was too strong for Taro Daniel, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Shelton, Medvedev, Tomas Machac and Djokovic as he claimed the title for the loss of just one set.

The Italian then moved indoors and dominated at the 2024 ATP Finals in Turin, crushing de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Medvedev, Casper Ruud and Fritz again — all without losing a set — for his maiden title.

Sinner ended an outstanding campaign on a high by beating Sebastian Baez, de Minaur and Tallon Griekspoor to inspire Italy to the Davis Cup title in Malaga.

In 2025, Sinner picked up where he left off on hard courts as he defeated Nicolas Jarry, Tristan Schoolkate, Marcos Giron, Rune, de Minaur, Shelton and Zverev to defend the Australian Open title.

Due to a three-month ban for failing doping tests in 2024, Sinner did not play again until the Italian Open in May — and he resumed with victories over Mariano Navone, Jesper de Jong, Francisco Cerundolo, Ruud and Paul.

Sinner’s streak, which featured 11 top 10 wins, ended with a straight-set loss to Alcaraz in the Rome title match.

1. Novak Djokovic – 43 wins (2010-2011)

After losing to Roger Federer in the semi-finals of the 2020 ATP Finals, Novak Djokovic embarked on arguably the greatest winning streak in the history of men’s tennis.

The run began with Djokovic downing Gilles Simon and Gael Monfils to lead Serbia to victory over France in the Davis Cup final — the nation’s only triumph in the team competition.

Djokovic began 2011 by winning his second Australian Open title, beating Marcel Granollers, Ivan Dodig, Viktor Troicki, Nicolas Almagro, Tomas Berdych, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

The Serbian added the Dubai Championships crown with a win against Federer in the final.

In March, Djokovic completed the Sunshine Double by defeating Nadal in both the Indian Wells and Miami championship matches.

Djokovic started his clay season by seeing off Feliciano Lopez to win the Belgrade Open before adding back-to-back Masters 1000 titles in Madrid and Rome — where he downed Nadal to win both finals.

At the French Open, Djokovic scored wins against Thiemo de Bakker, Victor Hanescu, Juan Martin del Potro and Richard Gasquet before receiving a quarter-final walkover from Fabio Fognini.

Djokovic’s incredible streak was ended after 43 straight wins as he lost in four sets to Federer in the semi-finals at Roland Garros. He claimed 13 wins over top 10 rivals during the run.

The tennis great also built a 29-match win streak between 2019 and 2020, as well as two separate 28-match unbeaten runs in 2013-2014 and 2015.
