Carlos Alcaraz’s longest win streaks: Spaniard ties 14-match winning record at Queen’s
Carlos Alcaraz’s 2025 grass-court season started in winning fashion on Tuesday, the Spaniard beating Adam Walton at the Queen’s Club Championships.
It was not all straightforward, with lucky loser Walton holding two set points in set two, though Alcaraz did enough to seal a 6-4, 7-6(4) victory at the ATP 500 event.
Alcaraz’s win was his first since his stunning Roland Garros triumph, and the Spaniard has now won 14 straight matches amid a scintillating run of form.
That ties the 22-year-old’s two previous best streaks, and he has the opportunity to break his own record over the next few days.

2022 streak
Alcaraz’s first 14-match win streak came in 2022, the year in which he broke through to win his first Grand Slam title at the US Open.
His win streak came earlier in the year on clay, winning two big titles on home soil.
After losing in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters, Alcaraz won five straight matches on his way to a first Barcelona Open title, beating Pablo Carreno Busta in the final.
That was followed by a further five match wins at the Madrid Open, with wins over Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Alexander Zverev on his way to the title.
The Spaniard extended his winning run to 14 after reaching the French Open quarter-final, where his streak was snapped by Zverev.
2023 streak
Just over a year from his 2022 streak, Alcaraz matched it with another 14-match win streak across the summer of 2023.
After a French Open semi-final defeat to Djokovic, the Spaniard won five matches at Queen’s to win the first grass-court title of his career, beating Alex de Minaur in the final.
That was followed by a stunning run to the title at Wimbledon, with the Spaniard downing Djokovic in a thrilling five-set final to triumph at the tournament for the first time.
Alcaraz returned to action at the Canadian Open and won two more matches to bring his streak to 14, before a quarter-final loss to Tommy Paul.
2025 streak
Alcaraz has now matched his two previous 14-match win streaks, and has the chance to set a new personal record at Queen’s this week.
The Spaniard was beaten in the Barcelona Open final in April, but returned to action at the Italian Open and won six matches on his way to a first title in Rome, beating Jannik Sinner in the final.
That was followed by a successful defence of his French Open title, winning seven straight matches at Roland Garros, including his thrilling victory over Sinner in the championship match.
Victory over Walton at Queen’s on Monday was his 14th in a row, putting him just one victory away from a new personal best.
Alcaraz will face one of Jordan Thompson or Jaume Munar in the second round at the ATP 500 event.
