Revealed: Emma Raducanu’s 5 best tournaments since her US Open victory

Emma Raducanu’s impressive win over Amanda Anisimova at the Miami Open on Monday was significant in more ways than one.
Not only was it a second win over Anisimova this season for Raducanu, it also secured her return to the top 50 of the WTA Rankings.
And, in terms of matches won, it is now her best run since her stunning US Open victory in September 2021.
The past three-and-a-half years have been far from easy for Raducanu but, amid a mid-tournament resurgence, we look back at her best displays since she became a Grand Slam champion.
This list is based on the number of matches Raducanu has progressed through at an individual event.
2025 Miami Open – Quarter-final (Four matches)
Raducanu is projected to rise 12 ranking spots to world No 48 as things stand, thanks to an impressive Miami Open run that has seen her pick up four wins – two against top-20 opponents.
The Brit started her campaign with a comfortable win over world No 188 Sayaka Ishii, beating the Japanese 6-2, 6-1 to get back to winning ways.
Raducanu then backed that up with one of the best wins of her career in the second round, battling past eighth seed and world No 10 Emma Navarro 7-6(6), 2-6, 7-6(3) to reach round three.
She was leading 6-1, 3-0 when McCartney Kessler retired injured in the third round, before dispatching 17th seed Anisimova 6-1, 6-3 on Monday – booking a quarter-final against world No 4 Jessica Pegula.
2024 Wimbledon – Round 4 (Three matches)
By far and away her best Grand Slam run since her US Open triumph, Raducanu returned to the second week of Wimbledon in 2024 – three years after her breakthrough run at SW19.
The 22-year-old recovered from a nervy start to defeat Renata Zarazua 7-6(0), 6-3 in her opening, before a confident 6-1, 6-2 win over Elise Mertens in the second round.
Raducanu backed that up with a 6-2, 6-3 win over world No 9 Maria Sakkari – just her second top-10 win – in the third round, before a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 loss to qualifier Lulu Sun.
Ranked 135th at the time, this run ensured her return to the top 100 of the WTA Rankings.
2024 Nottingham Open – Semi-final (Three matches*)
What proved to be a strong 2024 grass court season for Raducanu started with a run to just her third tour semi-final at the Nottingham Open last June.
Ranked 209th heading in, the Brit dispatched qualifier Ena Shibahara 6-1, 6-4 in the opening round, before an impressive 6-2, 6-2 victory versus Daria Snigur in round two.
Raducanu ultimately did not have to take to court for her quarter-final, with compatriot Francesca Jones pulling out due to injury, and fell 6-7(13), 6-3, 6-4 to British No 1 Katie Boulter in a hard-fought semi-final.
Despite her loss, this run propelled Raducanu back into the top 200.

2023 Indian Wells – Round 4 (Three matches)
Just before injury struggles got the better of her in 2023, Raducanu went on an impressive run to the fourth round of Indian Wells.
The 22-year-old, who was the world No 62 heading in, began her campaign with a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 victory over Danka Kovinic in her opening match.
That was followed by an impressive win over 20th seed and recent Magda Linette in the second round, the Pole being beaten 7-6(3), 6-2 by Raducanu.
Raducanu then battled past 13th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 to make the second week, where she fell 6-3, 6-1 to top seed Iga Swiatek.
2022 Korea Open – Semi-final (Three matches)
After her US Open win, Raducanu ended a 12-month wait to reach a WTA-level semi-final with a strong run in Seoul in September 2022 – though it ultimately ended in disappointment.
Having fallen down the rankings following a round-one loss in her US Open title defence, sixth seed and world No 77 Raducanu started her campaign with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Moyuka Uchijima.
She then defeated Yanina Wickmayer 6-3, 7-5 to progress to the last eight, where she eased past third seed Linette 6-2, 6-2 to reach the last four.
Raducanu’s semi-final started brightly for the Brit, though she ultimately retired at 4-6, 6-3, 3-0 down against fellow Slam winner Jelena Ostapenko.
