Novak Djokovic has the highest win percentage in men’s singles matches at the Australian Open in the Open Era, while his great rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both feature in the top seven.

Three men have a win rate in excess of 85%, while two stars sit above the 90% mark.

7. Rafael Nadal – 82.8%

Rafael Nadal finished his career with a 77-16 (82.8%) record at the Australian Open from his 93 matches across 18 appearances, having secured two titles and lost in a further four finals.

The Spaniard has a lower win rate at the Australian Open than the other three Grand Slams: Roland Garros (96.6%), US Open (84.8%) and Wimbledon (82.9%).

6. Pete Sampras – 83.3%

Pete Sampras recorded a 45-9 (83.3%) record from the 54 matches he played at the Australian Open, where he won two of the three finals he reached in his 11 appearances.
