Roger Federer holds the men’s record for the most wins in hard-court Grand Slam matches ahead of his great rivals Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
Djokovic closed the gap on Federer with his two victories at the 2024 US Open and he could break the record in the 2025 season.
Here, we look at the seven players with 100 or more wins in hard-court Grand Slam men’s singles matches.
7. Andy Murray – 100
Andy Murray finished his career with a 100-32 hard-court major record from his 132 matches at the Australian Open and the US Open.
The Brit won 51 matches at the Australian Open and 49 at the US Open. He made his hard-court Grand Slam debut at the 2005 US Open, while his final appearance at a major on the surface came at the 2024 Australian Open.

6. Ivan Lendl – 105
Ivan Lendl amassed a 105-18 record from the 123 matches he played on hard courts at the Australian Open and the US Open.
The Czech-American collected 73 wins at the US Open, while 32 of his 48 Australian Open wins came after the event switched from grass to hard courts. He his first and last hard-court major appearances were at the US Open in 1979 and 1994 respectively.
5. Pete Sampras – 116
Pete Sampras accumulated a 116-18 hard-court Grand Slam record from the 134 matches he contested at the Australian Open and the US Open.
The American earned 71 victories at the US Open and 45 wins at the Australian Open. He made his first and last major appearances at the US Open in 1988 and 2002 respectively.
4. Andre Agassi – 127
Andre Agassi compiled a 127-24 hard-court major record from the 151 matches he played at the Australian Open and the US Open.
The American won 79 matches at the US Open and 48 at the Australian Open. He made his first and last Grand Slam appearances at the US Open in 1986 and 2006 respectively.
3. Rafael Nadal – 144
Nadal holds a 144-28 record in hard-court Grand Slam matches from the 172 matches he has featured in at the Australian Open and the US Open in his career to date.
The Spaniard has collected 77 victories at the Australian Open and 67 wins at the US Open. He played his first hard-court major at the 2003 US Open, while his most recent appearance was at the 2023 Australian Open.
2. Novak Djokovic – 184
Djokovic holds a 184-23 hard-court major record from the 209 matches he has contested at the Australian Open and the US Open in his career to date.
The Serbian has won 94 matches at the Australian Open and 90 at the US Open. He made his Grand Slam debut at the 2005 Australian Open, while his most recent hard-court major appearance came at the 2024 US Open.

Federer amassed a 191-29 hard-court Grand Slam record from the 220 matches he played at the Australian Open and the US Open.
The Swiss earned 102 victories at the Australian Open and 89 wins at the Australian Open. He made his first and last hard-court major appearances at the Australian Open in 2000 and 2020 respectively.
