Four men have won the Miami Open on three or more occasions, with two legends tied for the record on six titles.
The Miami Open, which was first held in 1985, has been a Masters 1000 level event since 1990. The hard-court tournament has been held at the Hard Rock Stadium since 2019, having been staged at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne from 1987.
Here are the players who have won the most Miami Open men’s singles titles.
Andre Agassi – 1990, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003
Andre Agassi secured his maiden Miami Open crown at the inaugural Masters Series edition of the event in 1990, defeating Stefan Edberg in the championship match.
The American collected his second and third titles in successive years in 1995 and 1996, when he overcame Pete Sampras and Goran Ivanisevic in the respective finals.
The eight-time major champion became the first man to win the Miami Open three straight times with his triumphs in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Agassi beat Jan-Michael Gambill, Roger Federer and Carlos Moya in the respective title matches.

Pete Sampras saw off MaliVai Washington in the final of the 1993 Miami Open to win the tournament for the first time.
The 14-time Grand Slam winner defended his crown in 1994 with a victory over Agassi in the championship match.

Novak Djokovic won his first Masters title at the 2007 Miami Open, where he downed Guillermo Canas in the final.
The Serbian took his tally at the event to three titles with back-to-back victories in 2011 and 2012, having beaten Nadal and Andy Murray in the respective championship matches.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion emulated Agassi by winning the Miami Open three consecutive times and matched the American’s record of six titles. In these three finals, Djokovic beat Nadal in 2014, Andy Murray in 2015, and Kei Nishikori in 2016.
