Novak Djokovic has overtaken Roger Federer for match wins recorded at the US Open, while Jimmy Connors holds the men’s singles record.

There are eight men who have won over 50 matches at the New York major, while six have surpassed the 70 mark, and just three have reached 80.

Here, we look at the seven players with the most men’s singles victories at the US Open in the Open Era.

7. Rafael Nadal – 67

Rafael Nadal holds a 67-12 record at the US Open, having made his debut in 2003, while his most recent Flushing Meadows outing was in 2022.

The Spaniard has claimed four titles from the five finals he has reached in his 16 appearances to date at the hard-court Grand Slam.

6. Pete Sampras – 71

Pete Sampras accumulated a 71-9 record at the US Open, where he played for the first time in 1988 and the final time in 2002.

The American won a joint-record five titles from the eight finals he contested in his 14 appearances at his home major.

5. Ivan Lendl – 73

Ivan Lendl amassed a 73-13 record at the US Open, having made his debut in 1979 and his last-ever appearance in 1994.

The Czech-American played the US Open 16 times and secured three titles from the eight consecutive finals he reached between 1982 and 1989.

4. Andre Agassi – 79

Andre Agassi compiled a 79-19 record in his 20-year career at the US Open, where he made his debut in 1986 and his last appearance in 2006.

The American won two titles and was a four-time runner-up at the New York major, where he made 21 appearances.

3. Roger Federer – 89

Federer finished his career with an 89-14 record at the US Open, having made his debut in 2000 and his final appearance in 2019.

The Swiss secured a joint-record five titles from the seven championship matches he reached in his 19 appearances at Flushing Meadows.

2. Novak Djokovic – 90

Djokovic holds a 90-13 record at the US Open following his second round win at the 2024 edition of the event, having made his debut in 2005.

The Serbian has claimed four titles and reached a record 10 finals from his 17 previous appearances at the hard-court Grand Slam.

Connors is the only man who has won over 90 matches at the US Open, having amassed a 98-17 record at the New York Grand Slam.

The American competed in the main draw of his home major 22 times from his debut in 1970 to his last appearance in 1992, and he claimed a joint-record five titles from his seven finals.
