Novak Djokovic’s dominant H2H record against top 20 in latest ATP Rankings: Novak Djokovic 9-0 Taylor Fritz

Novak Djokovic has continued his dominance over the current crop of players and his win over Carlos Alcaraz in the 2024 Paris Olympics finals means he has a winning head-to-head record against 18 of the top 20 players in the latest ATP Rankings.

In fact, he doesn’t have a losing record against any player in the top 20 as he is 1-1 with Felix Auger-Aliassime while he is yet to face Sebastian Baez.

Djokovic was also level with Alcaraz in his head-to-head before Sunday’s Paris 2024 gold medal match, but he moved ahead of the Spaniard with his 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-2) victory.

Novak Djokovic’s H2H Against Top 20

Novak Djokovic 4-3 Jannik Sinner

Novak Djokovic won their first three encounters, but Sinner has had the measure of the 24-time Grand Slam winner in recent years as he won three of their four most recent matches.

The Italian beat Djokovic twice in the space of a few weeks at the backend of 2023 as he won their round-robin match at the ATP Finals before Djokovic turned the tables in the final. The 22-year-old then beat him in the Davis Cup Finals semi-final.

Sinner’s biggest win came at the 2024 Australian Open when he won in four sets before going on to win the title.

Novak Djokovic 4-3 Carlos Alcaraz

After Djokovic won their final two meetings of the 2023 season at the Cincinnati Open final and the ATP Finals, Alcaraz drew level again at 3-3 with his three-set win in the Wimbledon final.

But Djokovic is once again ahead thanks to his incredible victory in the Olympic final at Roland Garros.

They were 2-2 during the early stages of the rivalry, but then Djokovic pulled away by winning four in a row.

Zverev, though, has managed to win two of their last four matches.

Novak Djokovic 10-5 Daniil Medvedev

Djokovic has won five of his last six matches against Daniil Medvedev with the most recent won in the 2023 US Open final when he won his 24th Grand Slam title.

He also won the 2021 Paris Masters final and 2021 US Open final against the Russian while Medvedev won the 2022 US Open final.

Novak Djokovic 7-0 Hubert Hurkacz

The big-serving Hubert Hurkacz is yet to win a match against Djokovic. In fact, he has won only four sets against the great Serbian.

Australian Alex de Minaur stunned Djokovic in the United Cup at the beginning of the 2024 season to go 1-1 in their H2H, but the Serbian then gained revenge at the Monte Carlo Masters a few months later.

Novak Djokovic 5-1 Andrey Rublev

Andrey Rublev won the 2022 Belgrade final against Djokovic, but that was his only success as the tennis great has won their last four matches with the last coming at the 2023 Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic 5-1 Casper Ruud

Casper Ruud can say he won the most recent match against Djokovic as he defeated the Serbian in three sets in the Monte Carlo Masters semi-final earlier in 2023.

But Djokovic won their first five encounters, including the 2023 French Open final and 2022 ATP Finals final.

Novak Djokovic 12-1 Grigor Dimitrov

One of the most lopsided head-to-heads with Dimitrov’s only win coming at the Madrid Open in 2013.

Djokovic has won 10 in a row and dropped only three sets against the Bulgarian in the last decade.

Novak Djokovic 12-2 Tsitsipas

Much like the Dimitrov rivalry, Djokovic has dominated with Stefanos Tsitsipas’ last win in 2019. Djokovic made it 11 wins in a row against the Greek with a two-set win in the quarter-final of the Paris Olympics.

The 24-time Grand Slam winner has faced Tsitispas in six finals – including two Grand Slam finals – and has won all six matches.

Novak Djokovic 1-0 Tommy Paul

They have met only once with Djokovic winning 7-5, 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-final of the 2023 Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic 9-0 Taylor Fritz

The tennis great has a 100% win record against Fritz.

During those nine matches, Fritz managed to win only three sets against Djokovic with two of those coming during a five-setter at the 2021 Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic 1-0 Ben Shelton

Their only match-up came at the 2023 US Open when Djokovic defeated the American 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) and celebrated by mimicking Shelton’s famous telephone celebration.

Novak Djokovic 1-0 Ugo Humbert

Their only encounter came in the round of 16 at Wimbledon in 2019 and Djokovic won 6-3, 6-2, 6-3.

Novak Djokovic 8-1 Lorenzo Musetti

Lorenzo Musetti stunned Novak Djokovic in the round of 16 at the 2023 Monte Carlo Masters, but that has been his only victory against the Serbian.

Djokovic has won four matches since then, including in their semi-final at the Paris Olympics.

Holger Rune briefly led the H2H 2-1 after he claimed wins in the 2022 Paris Masters final and the 2023 Italian Open quarter-final, but it has been all Djokovic since then with the Serbian’s most recent win coming at Wimbledon.

They met in the final of the Adelaide International in 2023 and Djokovic was victorious with a 6-7 (8-10), 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 scoreline.

Both their matches came in 2022 with Djokovic winning in the quarter-final in Rome and Auger-Aliassime drawing level with a win at Laver Cup later in the year.
