History beckons for Novak Djokovic with the Serbian one game away from his 100th ATP title.

Victory over Jakub Mensik in the Miami Open final on Sunday will make the impressive Serb the oldest Masters 1000 in history but that is not the only record associated with the 24-time Grand Slam winner.

He has the most Masters 1000 titles in history, is the only player to achieve the Career Golden Masters and is the oldest men’s player to ever reach a final.

But where has he shone the most? Here is Novak Djokovic’s win record at Masters 1000 events.

Hamburg Masters – 6 wins

Considering the Hamburg tournament changed to the Madrid Open in 2009, it is unsurprising that the German edition is the lowest on this list.

Djokovic played in the tournament just three times, starting in 2006 where he exited in the second round.

The following season, he reached the quarters and then the semi-finals in 2008 before the tournament moved to Spain.

Madrid Open – 30 wins

If Djokovic never triumphed in Hamburg, he more than made up for it in Madrid.

Despite it being a clay court in Rafa Nadal’s home country, the Serb did manage to win the tournament in 2012, 2016 and 2019, the former of which he beat Nadal in the final.

Aside from outright victories, Djokovic reached the semis on three occasions but absences in 2010, 2014, 2015 and only one appearance since 2021 mean this event is lower down the list.

Monte-Carlo Masters – 39 wins

Only the Cincinnati trophy eluded Djokovic for longer than the Monte-Carlos Masters as the Serbian required seven entries before finally winning the tournament in 2013.

He reached the semi-final three years in a row from 2008 to 2010 and having already made it to two finals, Djokovic finally got the job done with a win over Nadal.

However, he has won the tournament just twice in his career and failed to make it past the third round on three consecutive appearances.

In 2024, he reached the semi-final again, only to lose to Casper Ruud.

Canadian Open – 37 wins

Despite not playing since 2018, the Canadian Open remains one of Djokovic’s most successful venues.

He has won 37 games there and took the trophy home on four occasions including back-to-back victories in 2011 and 2012.

But since his 2016 win, Djokovic has only entered once, losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round.

Shanghai Masters – 45 wins

It took Djokovic seven entries to first win Shanghai but once he did, there was no stopping him.

Three successes in four years was part of an astonishing run that saw Djokovic make at least the semis in six tournaments.

His most recent entry saw him reach the final but he lost to Jannik Sinner in October.

Cincinnati Open – 45 wins

It took 13 entries and five finals before Djokovic finally won the Cincinnati Open in 2018.

The Ohio-based competition was the final piece of the puzzle for the Serbian who, with his victory over Roger Federer, became the first player to achieve the career Golden Masters.

He repeated the feat in 2020 when he beat Milos Raonic.

Miami Open – 48 wins

Djokovic’s recent exploits saw him reach the eighth Miami final of his career and the American venue has always been a particular favourite of the Serbian.

Victories in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016 made Djokovic the joint-most successful man in Miami history, tied with Andre Aggasi.

Victory over Mensik on Sunday will push Djokovic to the outright lead as well as securing him his 100th ATP title.

Indian Wells – 51 wins

Just a few more victories than Miami comes Indian Wells with Djokovic having won the title there on five occasions.

Between 2014 and 2017, Djokovic was undefeated at Indian Wells and Miami, meaning he secured the Sunshine Double on three occasions to go along with his successful attempt in 2011.

A surprise defeat in the second round saw Djokovic fail in the most recent tournament and not since 2016 has he won the trophy.

Italian Open – 68 wins

With 68 wins and six trophies, the Italian Open is clearly one of Djokovic’s favourite tournaments.

On the rare occasion that the Serbian doesn’t win the trophy, he is almost guaranteed to at least be in the semis, having reached that round in all but two years from 2007 to 2022.

Defeat in the third round and the quarters in last two seasons mean Djokovic has not won in Rome since 2022 but the 37-year-old will be looking to return with a bang later this year.
