Novak Djokovic has won 99 career ATP singles titles and will look to win a milestone 100th title in 2025.

As he potentially approaches what could be one of the most significant triumphs of his career, we look at the seven most successful events of his career.

=5) China Open – 6 titles

Years won: 2009-10, 2012-15

The most successful ATP 500 event of Djokovic’s career, the Serbian is a six-time champion in Beijing.

Djokovic won his first two titles at the tournament in 2009 and 2010, beating Marin Cilic and David Ferrer respectively.

He then regained his title with victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 2012 final, before beating Rafael Nadal in both the 2013 and 2015 finals, and Tomas Berdych in 2014.

=5) Italian Open – 6 titles

Years won: 2008, 2011, 2014-15, 2020, 2022

Rome has been the former world No 1’s happiest hunting ground on clay, with Djokovic having triumphed six times in the Italian capital.

He defeated Stan Wawrinka to lift his first title at the event in 2008, before stunning ‘King of Clay’ Nadal for a second crown three years later.

Djokovic defeated Nadal and Roger Federer respectively for consecutive wins in 2014 and 2015, before downing Diego Schwartzman in the 2020 final and Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2022.

=5) Miami Open – 6 titles

Years won: 2007, 2011-12, 2014-16

Djokovic has won six men’s singles titles in Miami Open, a tournament record he jointly holds alongside Andre Agassi.

In 2007 he beat Guillermo Canas to win his first-ever Masters 1000 title, and then defeated Nadal and Murray in the 2011 and 2012 finals to bring his haul at the event up to three titles.

The Serbian then completed a Miami Open ‘threepeat’ from 2014-16, overcoming Nadal in 2014, Murray in 2015, and Kei Nishikori in 2016.

=2) Paris Masters – 7 titles

Years won: 2009, 2013-15, 2019, 2021, 2023

The most successful Masters 1000 event of his legendary career, Djokovic has triumphed seven times on the indoor hard courts of Paris.

He defeated home favourite Gael Monfils for his first win in 2009 before victories over Ferrer, Milos Raonic, and Andy Murray sealed three consecutive titles across 2013-15.

Djokovic regained his crown after a four-year duck with a victory versus Denis Shapovalov in 2019, before beating Daniil Medvedev in 2021 and Grigor Dimitrov in 2023.

=2) ATP Finals – 7 titles

Years won: 2008, 2012-15, 2022-23

No one has had more success at the ATP Finals than Djokovic, who is a seven-time winner of the year-end championships.

He beat Nikolay Davydenko for his first title in 2008, before winning four straight titles between 2012 and 2015.

Djokovic beat Federer in the 2012 and 2015 finals and benefited from the Swiss’ walkover in 2014, while downing Nadal in 2013.

The Serbian ended a seven-year wait for more success by defeating Casper Ruud in the 2022 final and Jannik Sinner in 2023.

=2) Wimbledon – 7 titles

Years won: 2011, 2014-15, 2018-22

Only Federer has won more Wimbledon men’s singles titles than the Serbian, who is a seven-time champion at the All-England Club.

Djokovic sealed three of his Wimbledon titles with a victory over Federer, beating the Swiss in consecutive finals in 2014 and 2015, and saving championship points in the 2019 battle.

The former world No 1 had beaten Nadal to win his first title in 2011 and defeated Kevin Anderson in the 2018 championship match.

He claimed his most recent titles in 2021 and 2022, fending off Matteo Berrettini and Nick Kyrgios respectively.

1) Australian Open – 10 titles

Years won: 2008, 2011-13, 2015-16, 2019-21, 2023

Undisputedly the greatest event of his career, no man comes close to matching Djokovic’s 10 titles at the Australian Open.

He captured his first Grand Slam title with a triumph over Tsonga in the 2008 final and then regained his crown with victory over Murray in 2011.

That was followed by his legendary win over Nadal in 2012, before beating Murray in the 2013, 2015, and 2016 finals on the Rod Laver Arena.

Djokovic beat Nadal in their second Australian Open final in 2019, before downing Dominic Thiem in 2020, Medvedev in 2021, and Tsitsipas in 2023.
