5 staggering Novak Djokovic statistics after latest Australian Open win: ft. his Grand Slam record since turning 30

Novak Djokovic’s superb straight-set win over Tomas Machac in the third round of the 2025 Australian Open has seen him add to his collection of incredible statistics.
The 24-time Grand Slam winner downed the talented Machac, the world No 25, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 to continue his quest to become the oldest Grand Slam singles champion.
With his second round win against Jaime Faria, Djokovic broke his great rival Roger Federer’s record for the most major matches played — a tally he has now extended to 431.
“Grand Slam wins are what counts the most in our sport,” the Serbian told Eurosport. “So you know I’ve been dreaming as a kid to win Wimbledon, to play Grand Slams.
“I never thought that I’ll hold this record, to be honest, so it caught me by surprise, pleasantly, of course.
“Of course I’m thrilled to get this record and hopefully I can keep it going for at least a few more wins on the Grand Slam level.”
Here are five more stunning statistics after Djokovic progressed to the last 16 at Melbourne Park.
Record Grand Slam win rate since turning 30
Following his win against Machac, Djokovic improved his astonishing record in Grand Slam matches since turning 30 to 151-14 (91.5%).
This gives him the highest win rate at majors after the age of 30 of any male or female player in the Open Era.
Australian Open match wins
Djokovic’s third victory of his 2025 Australian Open campaign takes his career win total at the Melbourne Grand Slam to 97, which makes it his joint-best major for match wins with Wimbledon.

Oldest man to reach the Australian Open fourth round since Federer
Djokovic, who will turn 38 in May, is the oldest man to make the fourth round of the Australian Open since Federer, who was 38 during his run to the semi-finals in 2020.
These two icons are the only men aged 37 or older to reach this stage in Melbourne since the event introduced the 128-player format in 1988.
Grand Slam fourth round
The current world No 7 is through to the last 16 at a Grand Slam tournament for the 66th time, which is the second-highest tally in men’s singles in the Open Era. He trails only Federer, who reached the fourth round at 69 majors.
