The 7 active men’s players with 40 or more top 10 wins as Jannik Sinner joins list: Novak Djokovic with 200+
Novak Djokovic leads the way in terms of active players with the most wins over top 10 rivals while Jannik Sinner has joined the list of players with 40 top-10 victories on the ATP Tour.
Tennis great Djokovic is the only current player with more than 100 top-10 wins while he also leads the all-time list as he and Roger Federer are the only men with more than 200 wins over rivals inside the top 10.
Federer retired with a 224-123 record against top-10 players while Rafael Nadal is third with 186-105. Andy Murray, who along with Nadal bowed out of tennis in 2024, had a 105-96 record.
Of the current generation, Carlos Alcaraz is on 35-20 while Stefanos Tsitsipas sits on 35-55.

=6. Jannik Sinner – 40
Jannik Sinner defeated world No 9 Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4 during Italy’s Davis Cup Finals semi-final win over Australia to move to 40 wins over top-10 opponents.
Sinner’s first-ever win over a top-10 player came in 2020 when he defeated world No 10 David Goffin in Rotterdam.
The reigning world No 1 has four wins over world No 1s with three of those coming against Djokovic and one against Carlos Alcaraz, but it is difficult to beat world No 1 players when you are topping the rankings.
=6. Kei Nishikori – 40
Former world No 4 Kei Nishikori was able to mix it with the best in his heyday, but he has struggled with injury the past few years and currently sits outside the top 100.
The Japanese player’s last top-10 win was in 2021 when he defeated Andrey Rublev (7) in the first round at the Tokyo Olympics. Of his 40 top-10 victories, only two was against the world No 1 with both of those coming against Djokovic.

5. Grigor Dimitrov – 43
Grigor Dimitrov peaked at No 3 in the ATP Rankings in 2017 when he won the ATP Finals.
After a slump, he has returned to the top 10 and in 2024 alone he claimed six top-10 wins, including one against Carlos Alcaraz (2) at the Miami Open.
The Bulgarian has only one No 1 win to his name, against Djokovic in 2013.
4. Daniil Medvedev – 47
Daniil Medvedev announced his arrival on the big stage when he beat world No 3 Stan Wawrinka in the first round at Wimbledon in 2017 and he has added another 46 top-10 wins to his name since then.
In 2019 he claimed his first No 1 – over Djokovic. In fact, he is the only man to beat Djokovic (5 times), Alcaraz (once) and Sinner (once) while they topped the rankings.
3. Alexander Zverev – 54
Current world No 3 Alexander Zverev has wins over Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, but only Nadal and Djokovic were at No 1 at the time of the wins.
He claimed eight top-10 wins in 2024 with two coming against Alcaraz. His most producing year for top-10 wins was in 2021 when he claimed nine.
2. Stan Wawrinka – 63
Stan Wawrinka defeated then world No 10 Mariano Puerta in the second round of the 2005 US Open for a maiden top-10 victory while his most recent one was over Rublev (7) at the Stockholm Open in 2024.
The three-time Grand Slam winner also has five wins over world No 1s (three against Djokovic, one against Nadal and one against Murray).
1. Novak Djokovic – 259
The great Novak Djokovic is the only player in history with more than 250 top-10 victories with the first coming in 2005 when he beat Puerta (9) at the Paris Masters.
His two most productive years were in 2012 and 2013 when he claimed 24 top-10 wins in each campaign, but this year he managed only two (against Alcaraz at the Paris Olympics and against Taylor Fritz at the Shanghai Masters).
Djokovic – who has lost 116 matches against top-10 rivals – also has 16 wins against players ranked at No 1 at the time of the match.
