Wimbledon quarter-finalist by time spent on court: Sinner least amount of hours, Norrie most
The four men’s quarter-finalists at Wimbledon 2025 have been decided and some have spent more hours on court, in some cases a lot more.
World No 1 Jannik Sinner leads the way as he reached the last eight following Grigor Dimitrov’s retirement in the fourth round after two and a half sets, and that short match certainly contributed to him topping the list for the least amount of hours on court so far.
Two-time champion and second seed Carlos Alcaraz is also safely into the next round after seeing off Andrey Rublev along with fifth seed Taylor Fritz and seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic.
Ben Shelton (10), Karen Khachanov (17) and Flavio Cabolli (22) are the other seeds to make the quarters while 2022 semi-finalist Cameron Norrie is the only unseeded player to reach the business end of the grass-court Grand Slam.
And it is Norrie who spent the most time on court during the first four rounds at Wimbledon.
Time spent on court so far…
8. Cameron Norrie – 13 Hours and 9 Minutes
World No 61 Norrie played one five-setter, two four-setters and one three-setter during his four matches so far.
His longest match was his fourth-round win over Nicolas Jarry as it took four hours and 27 minutes to complete.
7. Carlos Alcaraz – 11 Hours and 59 Minutes
The five-time Grand Slam winner had to go the distance in his opener against Fabio Fognini as it took four hours and 37 minutes to get the win.
Although he dropped one set in two other matches, none of his clashes took more than three hours to complete.

6. Karen Khachanov 11 Hours and 34 Minutes
Two of the Russian’s matches went to five sets while the other two were three-setters.
He required three hours and 39 minutes to see off Shintaro Mochizuki in the second round while he needed three hours and 38 minutes to beat Nuno Borges in the next round.
5. Taylor Fritz – 10 Hours and 36 Minutes
The fifth-seeded Fritz started with a three-hour and 25-minute five-set win over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard that had to be completed over two days.
He needed another three hours and five sets to get past Gabriel Diallo in the second round while Alejandro Davidovich Fokina also took him the distance with another three hours required to move on.
At least he had it easier against Jordan Thompson as the Australian retired with Fritz leading 6-1, 3-0.
4. Novak Djokovic – 10 Hours and 20 Minutes
The 24-time Grand Slam winner dropped a set in the first round and the fourth round, both of those wins – over Alexander Muller and Alex de Minaur, respectively – took three hours and 19 minutes.
3. Ben Shelton – Nine Hours and 56 Minutes
The big-serving American has dropped only one set – during his fourth-round win over Lorenzo Sonego – with the match clocking three hours and five minutes.
2. Flavio Cobolli – Nine Hours and One Minute
The Italian has played only one four-setter with his other three matches over in three sets. The fourth-round clash against Marin Cilic went to three hours and 25 minutes.
1. Jannik Sinner – Seven Hours and 29 Minutes
The three-time Grand Slam winner hadn’t dropped a set until Grigor Dimitrov won the opening two sets in the fourth-round clash, but sadly the Bulgarian retired with the score 2-2 in the third set.
The match was called off after two hours and eight minutes and that was the longest Sinner had spent on court this campaign with none of his other matches reaching the two-hour mark.
