Naomi Osaka and Bianca Andreescu battle through tough tests at French Open

Naomi Osaka survived an almighty scare at the French Open, where she came back from a set and a break down to overcome Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.
The world number one would have been just the second top seed to lose in the first round had she not pulled it around.
However, she battled through to a 0-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win to set up a fascinating second-round clash with Victoria Azarenka.
“I was really close, so it hurts I lost so many chances,” said Schmiedlova, who bageled Osaka in just 20 minutes.
“Maybe I felt like it was against the world number one. It was not easy in my head.”
They’ll je joined in round two by Bianca Andreescu, who beat Marie Bouzkova 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.
