17:10: And with that we wrap up our coverage on day four of the 2019 French Open. Thank you for your company today. We hope you had fun. See you soon.

17:00: Job done for Federer as he wraps it up 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. Again the break coming in the final game of the set. He sweeps into the third round.

16:28: A bit of Federer magic.

16:18: One break of serve is once again all it takes for Federer to wrap up the second set. He is now 6-4, 6-3 up against Otte.

16:08: Take a bow Nicolas Mahut. The Frenchman is into the third round.

16:48: After going toe-to-toe with Federer for most of the set, Otte loses his way in game 10 and Federer makes the most of the first break point to take the set 6-4.

15:41: Here is Niskhikori after his tough win over Tsonga.

15:38: Otte is holding his own here as it’s 4-3 Federer, but still on serve.

15:21: We know you were waiting for a gif/video of Federer’s arrival, so here you go.

15:16: On Philippe-Chatrier, Roger Federer and Oscar Otte are about to get underway.

15:12: Marin Cilic has started to take charge at Court Simonne Mathieu as he has opened a 5-3 lead in the first set. He is serving for the set, but now Dimitrov has a break point. And he has the break back with some brilliant tennis from Dimitrov. Couple of booming shots and then he comes forward.

14:57: Tsonga ha really lost his way as Nishikori has won five of the last four games to go 5-4 up. He is serving for he match here and Tsonga goes long to bring up to two match points. He needs only one to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in three hours and two minutes.

14:49: Here is Garbine Muguruza’s post-match comments after her two-set win over Johanna Larsson. The Spaniard was pleased with her “A-game”.

14:46: Aaaaand the comeback is back off as Nishikori has now won four straight games to edge ahead 4-3 in the fourth set.

14:37: Tsonga and Nishikori going the distance? Tsonga has opened a 3-1 lead in the fourth set so it looks like we will see five sets.

14:20: Some advice from the King of Clay Rafael Nadal about winning at Roland Garros.

14:10: Pliskova is looking every bit a favourite as she beat Kucova 6-2, 6-2.

13:53: Pliskova is in charge against fellow Czech Kucova as the the second seed won the first set 6-2 and is currently 2-1 up in the second.

13:49: David Goffin is up next for Nadal after the 27th seeded Belgian beat Miomir Kecmanovic 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.

13:47: Okay the defending champion Nadal is through after a mini-mini-mini battle in the third. He wins 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 against Maden.

13:42: Maden is not going away quietly as there have been four consecutive breaks of serve in this set, but then Nadal pulls off another break and he will come out serving for the match.

13:31: It doesn’t look like we will get any major shocks today, but here are is a trip down memory lane.

13:24: The two Karolinas are up and running in the women’s draw as second seed Pliskova is taking on Kucova. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has been broken by Maden. Naturally the German is delighted. It’s 3-3 in the third set with Nadal two sets up.

13:10:
Stefanos Tsitsipas gets the job done.

12:52: We are still struggling to get over Kei Nishikori’s Uniqlo shirt, and here he is losing the first set against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

12:43: A seed has fallen as Guido Pella (19) from Argentina has been beaten by Corentin Moutet with the Frenchman winning 6-3, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5.

12:27: Patrick Mouratoglou believes Stefanos Tsitsipas is ready to win a Grand Slam, possibly even this year’s French Open, but the Greek needs to pull the finger out as he is break down in the fourth set so it looks his match against Dellien will go the distance.

12:17: And here is your WTA wrap after Stephens and Muguruza booked their places in the third round. They were “brutally effecient”.

12:10: Bright for the one, dull for the other. We think Federer got the short end of the straw when it comes to Uniqlo attire.

12:06: It’s one-way traffic as Nadal has opened up a 5-0 lead. Tsitsipas is into a fourth set against Dellien.

11:52: A delighted Stephens.

11:47: Easy as you like for Nadal as he breaks in the second game to 2-0 up against Maden. In the women’s draw, last year’s finalist Sloane Stephens advanced with a two-set win.

11:29: Rafael Nadal is on court! Stay with us for updates from his match against Yannick Maden.

11:31: Garbine Muguruza is safety though to the third round. She’s walloped Johanna Larsson 6-4, 6-1. Sloane Stephens has also advanced. Full details to follow.

10:55: Naomi Osaka has made some candid admissions after her struggles yesterday.

“For me, I think this is the most nervous I have ever been my entire life during a match.”

10:06: We have a controversy-strewn edition of Tennis Today, with Bernard Tomic openly agreeing with Nivk Kyrgios, which is probably never a great idea, and someone calling Serena Williams ‘a terrible attention-seeker’.

10:04: There was a little piece of history for Ivo Karlovic yesterday, too. Well, two pieces actually, as he broke one Roland Garros record and shared another Open era one.

10:02: One important piece of business from last night – defending champion Simona Halep is safely through. Full details:
