The Bavarian International Tennis Championships – also known by its sponsor name the BMW Open by Bitpanda – is the first of two clay-court events that are held in Germany annually with the other being the Hamburg Open.

This year’s ATP 500 event in Munich will once again feature the reigning German No 1 as Alexander Zverev has been confirmed for the tournament while his compatriot Jan-Lennard Struff will return to defend his title.

Zverev, though, has not had much success in recent years at his home event as he lost in the quarter-final in 2024 while the previous two years he exited in the second round.

When will the 2025 BMW Open take place?

This year marks the 109th edition of the tournament with the first event taking place way back in 1899.

Speaking of the main draw…

The official draw will take place at 11:00 local time on April 12 on Court 1 and the rankings and seeds have already been determined
