Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula and Jasmine Paolini are all set to do battle at the 2025 French Open, but much prize money and how many points will be on offer?

Swiatek is the defending champion, having defeated Paolini in the 2024 championship match to claim her fourth Roland Garros title.

This year’s French Open, which will be staged from May 25 to June 8 on the clay courts of Stade Roland Garros, will be the 124th edition of the Paris Grand Slam.

How many players will feature in the main draw?

The French Open women’s singles main draw comprises 128 players, including 104 direct entrants, eight wildcards and 16 qualifiers.

Who has received wildcards?

Six of the eight wildcards have been awarded to French players: Lois Boisson, Elsa Jacquemot, Leolia Jeanjean, Chloe Paquet, Diane Parry and Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah

Destanee Aiava and Iva Jovic have been given the wildcards reserved for Australian and US players respectively, as per the reciprocal wildcard agreement between the French Tennis Federation, Tennis Australia and the United States Tennis Association.

Which former champions will play?

Three former Roland Garros champions will compete: Swiatek (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024), Barbora Krejcikova (2021) and Jelena Ostapenko (2017).
