ATP Rankings Race To Turin: Alcaraz leads, Ruud & Draper climb, Sinner & Djokovic drop

Jack Draper and Casper Ruud made significant strides in the Race to the ATP Finals with their Madrid Masters exploits, while Carlos Alcaraz still leads the way.
The 2025 ATP Finals will be the fifth edition of the tournament staged in Turin, with the eight qualifiers competing for the biggest prize money pot in tennis.
Jannik Sinner claimed an eye-watering $4,881,100 — an all-time record payout for a tournament winner in the sport — for his undefeated title run at last year’s season-ending championships.
The eight players who amass the most ranking points in the 2025 season will qualify for the ATP Tour showpiece, which will be held from November 9 to 16.
If a current-year Grand Slam winner finishes between ninth and 20th in the Race, they will take the eighth and final qualification spot.
Alcaraz did not compete at the Madrid Open due to injury, but the Spanish star remains top of the Race Rankings with 2,750 points.
The Spaniard collected 1,330 points in an outstanding start to the clay season as he won the Monte Carlo Masters and finished as a runner-up in Barcelona. He also won the ATP 500 in Rotterdam, reached the last four in Indian Wells and the quarter-finals at the Australian Open.
Jack Draper has jumped to second in the Race with the 650 points he earned for reaching the Madrid Open final.
The Brit, who won the Indian Wells Masters in March, has cut the gap to Alcaraz to 450 points.
Alexander Zverev won his first title of 2025 at the ATP 500 in Munich last month, but he has fallen behind Draper by 15 points after a fourth round Madrid exit.
World No 1 Jannik Sinner has dropped to fourth, having not played since winning the Australian Open in January.
The Italian is making his return from a three-month ban for failed doping tests at the Masters 1000 event in Rome.

The in-form Francisco Cerundolo is just five points adrift of Djokovic in ninth, while Ben Shelton is only 15 points further back in 10th place.
Holger Rune, Lorenzo Musetti and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina sit 11th, 12th and 13th respectively and are all firmly in the hunt after some impressive clay results.
Felix Auger-Aliassime made a strong start to the year, but he has dropped to 14th after losing seven of his last eight matches.
