Carlos Alcaraz has already achieved more in his career than some all-time great tennis champions, but this brilliant Spaniard is still only at the start of his sporting journey.

With four Grand Slam titles already in his collection, as well as world No 1 and a host of ATP Tour titles on his record, this brilliant 21-year-old is one of the best young players the game has ever seen.

The question is, where will Alcaraz sit in the pantheon of tennis greats when his career comes to an end?

Here is your Tennis365 guide to what Alcaraz has achieved already and what is still to come.

CARLOS ALCARAZ’S GREATEST MOMENTS

Alcaraz won his first ATP Tour title in 2021, as he lifted the Croatia Open title on clay with a win against Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the final.

He went on to win the first five ATP Tour finals he competed in and then took his career to the next level by winning the 2022 US Open.

The Spaniard has since added the 2023 Wimbledon title to his collection and in 2024, he retained that Wimbledon crown and also won the French Open.

HOW MUCH PRIZE MONEY HAS ALCARAZ WON?

Alcaraz has already claimed a stunning $38,804,003 in prize money in his tennis career.

It is a cash windfall that puts him in 9th place on the all-time list in the men’s game, with the big increases in prize money in tennis ensuring he could be in the top four most financially successful male players in tennis history in double quick time.

Novak Djokovic tops the list with $186,249,969, Rafael Nadal is in second place with $134,946,100, Roger Federer is in third with $130,594,339 and Andy Murray is fourth with $64,687,542.

WHO ARE ALCARAZ’S SPONSORS?

This sporting superstar is one of the most wanted athletes among sponsors and some A-list companies are paying big money to be associated with a champion who is reaching out beyond the tennis world.

Nike, Babolat, BMW, Rolex and Calvin Klein are among the companies that have worked with Alcaraz, with his appeal to young fans ensuring he is a valuable asset to any sponsor.

WHAT IS ALCARAZ’S RANKING?

Alcaraz started 2025 in impressive fashion after a run to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open and a victory in the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam.

Yet despite being the winner of the French Open and Wimbledon titles last year, he is still only at No 3 in the ATP Rankings, behind Germany’s Alexander Zverev at No 2 and world No 1 Jannik Sinner.

WHEN IS ALCARAZ’S NEXT TOURNAMENT?

Following his run to the quarter-final of the Australian Open, Alcaraz returned to title-winning ways at the Rotterdam Open as he won the ATP 500 event on debut. He next featured at the Qatar Open, but was
was upset by Jiri Lehecka in the last eight.

Up next is his title defence at the Indian Wells Open. Last year he won the ATP 1000 tournament for the second time in his career, beating Zverev in the quarter-final, Sinner in the semi-final and Daniil Medvedev in the final.

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT ALCARAZ

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash: “Alcaraz has got everything. I’ve never seen a young player who has developed all his game at such a young age. There are normally some areas that need improving at that age. Not since Boris Becker came through and won Wimbledon have I seen a player as complete as Alcaraz at such a young age.

“Alcaraz is an incredibly complete. He’s lightning fast, he can play on any surface and at the moment, you would put him in there with Sinner as a favourite for every tournament he enters.

“You look at Roger (Federer) and he needed to fix his backhand when he came through and (Rafael) Nadal needed to work on his volleys. They worked on those things throughout his career, but Alcaraz looked like a complete player at the age of 20.”

Seven-time Grand Slam champion John McEnroe: “Alcaraz is my favourite player to watch right now. He can do everything and he does it all so well. It seems almost impossible that he would be that positive every week, that he can win as often as he does at that age. The smile, everything about him, it’s hard to believe he doesn’t get frustrated in a sport that is as frustrating as tennis is. Trust me, I know what it’s like to get frustrated in tennis!”
