How much does Novak Djokovic’s Cincy Hublot watch cost?
Luxury watchmakers Hublot signed Novak Djokovic in 2021 and have provided the striking timepieces he wears during trophy ceremonies.
Djokovic has admitted that they are among his favourite sponsors, and he will often stop by at the headquarters in Switzerland.
When Djokovic accepted the Rookwood Cup at the Cincinnati Masters last week he was seen wearing a remarkable neon yellow watch from Hublot.
Djokovic was wearing a Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic that retails for about $28,300 right now.
One of the brand’s most avant-garde collections, the Big Bang was introduced in 2005 and features references in ceramic, carbon, titanium, and sapphire.
As part of a colourful onslaught, Hublot also unveiled a red ceramic version of the watch in 2018. (It required four years of research and development to come up with a method to sinter the material without burning it.)
But that effort has been deemed to be worth the strain since it produced a material that is tougher than conventional ceramics and comes in a variety of vibrant colours.
Djokovic is familiar with high-end timepieces. He signed with Seiko three years after being an Audemars Piguet brand ambassador and stayed with the Japanese company until 2021, when he joined the Hublot team.
“At Hublot, in close collaboration with our partners, we create innovative, audacious and unique watches,” Hublot Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Guadalupe said.
“Over the years, our collaborative approach with industry leaders, athletes and personalities has driven the creation of truly groundbreaking products.”
Djokovic joined Usain Bolt and Kylian Mbappe on Team Hublot in 2021.
At the time he said: “As an athlete driven by the ambition to make history in tennis, I am particularly proud of the opportunity to join the Hublot family, which already boasts athletes who have left their mark on their respective disciplines by becoming legends like Kylian Mbappé or Usain Bolt. With Hublot, we still have so much to win, together!”
Tennis players, particularly those who win a lot of titles, are choice athletes for exposure for watchmakers with a striking timepiece now a staple of the trophy ceremonies.
Hublot were understandably thrilled to have Djokovic on board.
“Already a living legend, but still at the top of his game, Novak Djokovic has decided to join the great family of Hublot ambassadors.
“He shares many similarities with the Swiss watchmaking company Hublot, not the least of which is the relentless pursuit of excellence and performance. This is a great source of pride for the Hublot teams, who welcome the man who proves himself day after day as the greatest tennis player of all time. Game, set and match for “Nole” and Hublot!”
