Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya join list of 7 tennis power couples
It’s official: there’s a new power couple in tennis.
After a week of rumours, Jannik Sinner effectively confirmed that he and Anna Kalinskaya were dating – and both celebrated their new union with opening-round wins at the French Open.
But Australian Open champion Sinner and WTA rising star Kalinskaya are far from the only couple attracting the attention of tennis fans.
Here’s our list of seven current top tennis power couples.
Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya
The newest power couple will likely become one of the most high-profile, with Sinner likely to become world No 1 in the next few weeks.
Rumours started swirling that the world No 2 was dating Kalinskaya – an Australian Open quarter-finalist this year – when they were spotted first in a Paris restaurant, and then on practice courts at Roland Garros.
Kalinskaya then appeared in Sinner’s box for his round one victory over Chris Eubanks, before Sinner was in the Russian’s box for her win versus Clara Burel.
While not going into heavy detail, Sinner confirmed in his post-match presser that the two were dating.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa
Tennis fans rejoiced when Tsitsipas confirmed just before the French Open that he was back with Badosa – after their initial split was announced just a few weeks ago.
World No 9 Tsitsipas and former world No 2 Badosa have attracted huge attention ever since their relationship became public – with ‘Tsitsidosa’ making headlines on both the front and back pages.
Badosa announced they had split shortly before the Italian Open – deleting their joint Instagram – but they are now back on, and are set to play mixed doubles in Paris.
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils
A true tennis super couple, Svitolina and Monfils are now married and welcomed their daughter Skai in October 2022.
Former world No 3 Svitolina and French star Monfils first started dating in 2019 and, after a brief split, reunited and tied the knot in 2021.
The pairing has become hugely popular with tennis fans, and both had reasons to celebrate on Monday.
Ukrainian Svitolina rallied from a set down to beat Karolina Pliskova and made it through post-match commitments in time to watch Monfils beat Thiago Seyboth Wild in four sets.
Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur
One of the highest profile couples currently in the sport, Boulter and de Minaur are now among the most popular players across the WTA and ATP thanks to their relationship.
The pair have been a couple for over four years now and are regularly seen supporting each other during matches – and made a high-profile red-carpet appearance at the Laureus Sports Awards in Madrid last month.
Both are thriving off the court and maybe that is helping them on the court too.
British ace Boulter broke the top 30 of the WTA Rankings earlier this year after winning the biggest title of her career in San Diego, while Australian star de Minaur broke into the ATP top 10 this season.
Madison Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo
Keys has been one of the in-form WTA players of the clay court season and has been aided by fiance Frantengelo in recent weeks.
ATP star Fratangelo is currently inactive on tour but is taking a leading role in supporting his partner, who he has been dating since 2017.
Former US Open finalist Keys – who won the title in Strasbourg last week – announced their engagement in March 2023, and the pair are expected to wed this year.

Ugo Humbert and Tessah Andrianjafitrimo
French ATP No 1 Humbert may have lost in round one of the men’s singles, but his tournament is not over yet – as he is playing mixed doubles with partner Andrianjafitrimo.
Currently 538th on the WTA Rankings, Andrianjafitrimo has previously stepped into coach Humbert – including during his run to the Dubai Tennis Championships in February.
She and world No 16 Ugo Humbert are thought to have started their relationship in 2019.
Katerina Siniakova and Tomas Machac
Rising ATP star Machac and seven-time doubles Grand Slam champion Siniakova are more than just ‘Czech Mates,’ with the pair set to marry – after he confirmed their engagement in March next year.
Siniakova and Machac are thought to have started their relationship in 2021, and appeared on the Indian Wells Taste of Tennis red carpet together earlier this year.
Machac recently reached the first ATP Final of his career in Geneva, while doubles great Siniakova is playing with Coco Gauff at Roland Garros.
