Mirra Andreeva and Alex Eala among 9 youngest women in French Open women’s draw

There are seven teenagers in the main draw of the 2025 French Open women’s singles event with Iva Jovic the youngest, while Mirra Andreeva is the highest-ranked teen.
Rising star Alex Eala also makes the cut for the youngest women at Roland Garros this year.
The 9 youngest women in 2025 French Open women’s draw:
9. Linda Noskova 20
Seeded No 29, Noskova is considered a veteran on the WTA Tour as she made her Grand Slam debut at the 2022 French Open.
The Czech won the 2021 girls’ title at Roland Garros and won her maiden WTA Tour title at the Monterrey Open in August 2024.
The 2025 French Open is her 11th main draw event at a major while her best performance is a run to the quarter-final of the 2024 Australian Open when she stunned world No 1 Iga Swiatek in the third round.
8. Alex Eala – 20
Filipina star Eala just misses the teenage cut as she celebrated her 20th birthday on May 23.
She has been the breakout player on the WTA Tour so far in 2025 as she reached the quarter-final of the Miami Open to become the highest-ranked Filipina in history while she has won five ITF titles.
Eala is currently at No 69 in the rankings as has beaten the likes of Iga Swiatek, Madison Keys and Jelena Ostapenko this season.
7. Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah – 19
French youngster Rajaonah, who is of Malaysian descent, is the second-lowest ranked player in the main, having received a wildcard.
The world No 238 made her WTA debut at this year’s Rouen Open after coming through qualifying and reached the quarter-final.
6. Sara Bejlek – 19
The Czech made her Grand Slam bow as a 16-year-old at the 2022 US Open and has played in the main draw of the Australian Open in 2023, 2024 and 2025 while this will be her second appearance at Roland Garros after playing in 2023.
Bejlek came through qualifying and will be hoping to secure her first win at a major at Roland Garros this year.

5. Maya Joint – 19
Australian Joint booked her place in the main draw thanks to her WTA Ranking as she currently sits at No 78.
Her first Grand Slam match came at the 2024 US Open as an 18-year-old while she also played at the 2025 Australian Open.
Joint is already a title winner as she lifted the Morocco Open at the beginning of May, just a few weeks after turning 19.
4. Victoria Mboko – 18
Rising Canadian Mboko, who turned 18 in August last year, came through qualifying to reach the main draw of major for the first time in her career.
She most recently claimed a set off Coco Gauff at the Italian Open before losing 5–7, 6–2, 6–3.
3. Tereza Valentova – 18
The Czech youngster celebrated her 18th birthday in February and just over three months later she will make her Grand Slam main draw debut at Roland Garros.
Valentova, currently No 174 in the WTA Rankings, is the reigning French Open girls’ singles champion as she defeated fellow Czech Laura Samson in the 2024 final.
2. Mirra Andreeva – 18
Andreeva is already a two-time WTA 1000 title winner as she lifted trophies in Dubai and Indian Wells this year while she also reached the semi-final of the French Open in 2024.
And she did all of that while just 17 years old as she only turned 18 on April 29 this year.
Andreeva is currently at No 6 in the WTA Rankings.
1. Iva Jovic – 17
American teenager Jovic made her Grand Slam main draw debut as a 16-year-old at Wimbledon 2024, winning her maiden match before losing in the second round.
Once she makes her 2025 French Open appearance, Jovic will have played in all four Grand Slams as she played in the 2024 US Open, making a first-round exit, and reached the second at the 2025 Australian Open.
