Ranking points being defended by Alcaraz, Draper, Fritz, Rune at Queen’s

Some of the best players in the world are in action at the Queen’s Club Championships this week, but what ranking points are they defending?
Here, we look at what points the top eight seeds have to contend with at the ATP 500 tournament.
1) Carlos Alcaraz – 50
Alcaraz lifted the first grass-court title of his career at the Queen’s Club back in 2023, and is the top seed in 2025 as he looks to triumph for a second time.
Stunned by an unseeded Jack Draper in the second round last year, the world No 2 has just 50 points to defend at the ATP 500 event.
2) Jack Draper – 100
Draper’s win over Alcaraz last summer was a significant milestone in the Brit’s career, with the 23-year-old continuing to soar up the ATP pecking order since then.
The world No 6 is the second seed at Queen’s and has 100 ranking points to defend, having reached the quarter-final twelve months ago.
3) Taylor Fritz – 100
Though he is the third seed at the tournament, Fritz is back up ahead of Draper in the ATP Rankings after winning the fourth grass-court title of his career in Stuttgart.
Much like his British rival, the world No 4 has 100 points to defend in Queen’s after his last eight showing in 2024.
4) Holger Rune – 0
A mainstay at Queen’s in recent years, fourth seed Rune was beaten in the opening round of the event by Jordan Thompson twelve months ago.
That means the Dane has zero points to defend this year, and he has already bettered his 2024 result, beating Christopher O’Connell on Monday to reach the second round.
5) Alex de Minaur – 0
Runner-up to Alcaraz back in 2023, de Minaur was another seeded player to be handed a surprise opening round exit in 2024, falling to eventual runner-up Lorenzo Musetti.
The Australian has no points to defend as a result, and the fifth seed will start his campaign on Tuesday against Jiri Lehecka.
6) Ben Shelton – 0
Shelton was the sixth seed in 2024, though was beaten in the opening round by Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard twelve months ago.
Back as the sixth seed, and playing his first tournament as a top-10 player, the 22-year-old has no points to defend and will start his campaign on Tuesday versus second seed Arthur Rinderknech.

7) Frances Tiafoe – 0
Another player with no points to defend, Tiafoe was forced to retire injured versus Rinky Hijikata twelve months ago.
The American had no points to defend but the seventh seed has already been beaten at Queen’s, losing in straight sets to Dan Evans on Monday.
8) Jakub Mensik – 0
One of the hottest prospects on the ATP Tour, eighth seed Mensik is making his Queen’s debut in 2025.
The Czech had no points to defend as a result, but is already through to round two after a three-set victory over Cameron Norrie.
Selected
Tommy Paul: The world No 8 won 500 points after lifting the title in 2025 but will not be defending his title due to injury, and will fall out of the top 10 as a result.
Lorenzo Musetti: A run to the Queen’s Club final in 2024 earned Musetti 330 ranking points and kickstarted his recent surge, though the Italian is also absent this year due to injury concerns.
