With the Miami Open done and dusted, a busy week of ATP and WTA action delivers the start of an intriguing clay swing.

Here, our writers Oli Dickson Jefford, Kevin Palmer, Shahida Jacobs, and Ewan West predict their champions for the five events taking place this week.

(WTA 500) Charleston Open

ODJ: After an impressive Miami Open, top seed Jessica Pegula will be the woman to beat – and is my pick for a first title in Charleston.

KP: Danielle Collins adapted quickly to the clay in Charleston last year as she lifted the title a week after her win at the Miami Open and with big points to defend, she will have a desire to retain her title.

SJ: Several American stars in the draw and I think Madison Keys will be last of the home contingent standing as she will win her third title of the year.

EW: Tough to call in this stacked draw – I’ll go with Madison Keys, who is a former champion.

(WTA 250) Copa Colsanitas

ODJ: Camila Osorio is the defending champion in Bogota and has won both her WTA titles at the event. A third title looks more than possible.

KP: Marie Bouzkova is the top seed in this tournament and she should be confident of plotting a deep run.

SJ: Camila Osorio will successfully defend her crown and win a third title on home soil in Bogota.

EW: Camila Osorio looks a good bet to win her third title on home soil in Bogota.

(ATP 250) US Men’s Clay Court Championships

ODJ: After a slightly disappointing Sunshine Double, I’m backing Tommy Paul to bounce back and claim a first title of 2025.

KP: Frances Tiafoe as shown flashes of brilliance in 2025, but he has not maintained his form for extended periods in matches. This could be his week to shine.

SJ: Frances Tiafoe hasn’t really set the world alight this year, but could win his first title of 2025 in Houston.

EW: Tommy Paul is the best player in the Houston draw and has a good opportunity to win his first title on clay.

(ATP 250) Grand Prix Hassan II

ODJ: Nuno Borges won his first ATP title on clay last year and the Portuguese could be a safe bet after a solid start to 2025.

KP: Lorenzo Sonego is a dangerous player on clay courts and he will be a man to watch in Marrakech.

SJ: Lorenzo Sonego seems to have a decent draw for the early stages and by the time he hits the business end he will hopefully be in good form and go all the way.

EW: Jaume Munar has made a good start to 2025, with all of his losses coming in close deciding set battles. The Spaniard is capable of winning his maiden title here.

ATP Rankings: Sinner keeps gap over Alcaraz & Zverev, Djokovic consolidates, Mensik +30

(ATP 250) Romanian Open

ODJ: Back on his beloved clay, this looks like a title top seed Sebastian Baez will have his eyes on.

KP: Nicolas Jarry is a big threat on the red clay and he will be a tough player to beat in Bucharest.

SJ: Nicolas Jarry has reached seven ATP Tour finals, winning three of them, and all seven of those were on clay. Think he’s a good bet to win in Bucharest.

EW: It’s hard to look beyond six-time clay titlist Sebastian Baez in this draw.

T365 Fantasy Game

This season, our writers are competing to see who can earn as many points as possible by predicting the champions at every ATP and WTA-level tournament.

Five points are available for a correct champion pick, with three for a runner-up, and one for a semi-finalist.

This becomes seven points for a champion, five for a runner-up, three for a semi-finalist, and one for a quarter-finalist at Grand Slams.

Last week saw some success for Ewan and Kevin, who correctly predicted Aryna Sabalenka to win the Miami Open women’s singles title.

However, the men’s tournament proved a disappointment, with Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev – both picked twice – beaten in their opening matches.

Standings

1) Oli Dickson Jefford – 60 points
2) Ewan West – 50 points
