What is Emma Raducanu’s WTA Ranking in the women’s doubles?
Emma Raducanu is determined to have more fun on and off the court and her decision to enter more doubles events appears to be part of her approach to move “away from result-orientated goals and just enjoy each day”.
Her change in mindset has certainly paid off so far at the Washington DC Open as she has won four matches – two in the singles and two in the doubles alongside Elena Rybakina.
“I’m really pleased with how I’m tracking, how I’m building,” Raducanu said after her win over Naomi Osaka in the second round of the singles.
“My goal, it’s kind of gone away from result-orientated goals and just enjoying each day and trying to bank as many good ones as possible in a row and not let a bad day kind of creep in, or if a bad morning session, like trying to regain it straightaway.”
Raducanu’s latest win at the WTA 500 event is projected to result in a seven-place jump in the singles of the WTA Rankings as she is expected to re-enter the top 40 at No 39, but there could be more joy if she reaches the semi-final.
There is no doubt that the 2021 US Open winner’s big aim is to return to the top 20 of the rankings in the near future and, hopefully, the top 10 in the long term. She peaked at No 10 following her US Open title run at Flushing Meadows nearly four years ago.
But it is a different story when it comes to her position in the doubles of the WTA Rankings as the 22-year-old has very limited experience.

Despite her lack of regular action on the doubles circuit, Raducanu finds herself in the semi-final in DC with Rybakina after they followed up their first-round win over fourth seeds Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls with another 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 win over Giuliana Olmos and Aldila Sutjiadi.
Raducanu’s two matches in Washington DC took her doubles tally for the year to four as she teamed up with fellow Brit Katie Boulter at the Queen’s Club Championships in June and they won their opening match before going down in the quarter-final.
The 22-year-old is now 3-1 this year while her career record is 3-2 as her only other doubles event was also in Washington DC in 2022 when she partnered Clara Tauson, but they made a first-round exit.
Raducanu’s Doubles Ranking
She started the Washington DC Open at No 569 in the rankings with the 108 points she picked up with Boulter at Queen’s Club, but she is set to surge 296 places after reaching the semi-final with Rybakina.
The pair have picked up 195 each for the two wins and both are projected to be ranked at No 273 with 303 points if they fail to win any more matches.
Up next are Taylor Townsend and Zhang Shuai for a place in the final and they will certainly be underdogs against the second seeds.
However, should they get past the duo, they will then jump into the top 190.
