The 2025 Citi DC Open ATP singles draw has been revealed, with a stellar line-up – featuring Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti – promising an exciting event.

Four top 10 players will contest for the title, with seven of the top 15 competing overall, from July 21 – 27.

Other top stars include Holger Rune, Ben Shelton, Andrey Rublev, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, and Daniil Medvedev.

At last year’s edition, Sebastian Korda defeated Flavio Cobolli 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 in the showpiece match to claim his second ATP singles title, and his first on hard court.

Past champions also include Jannik Sinner, Nick Kyrgios, Alexander Zverev, Gael Monfils, Juan Martin del Potro.

The event was upgraded from the ATP 250 category to an ATP 500 tournament in 2009.

Fritz, who has won 13 of his last 15 matches, leads the way as the top seed and may face a rematch of his Wimbledon first-round thriller against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

The Frenchman was just two points away from victory after having led the American 5-1 in the fourth-set tiebreak at the grass-court Grand Slam, before falling 6-7(6) 6-7(8) 6-4 7-6(6) 6-4.

Aleksandar Vukic is another option for Fritz, however, the Australian has been struggling to collect consecutive main-draw victories in 2025.

Fritz is then projected to face Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the third round, a matchup which the world No 4 would likely enjoy after leading the head-to-head 5-2 and having won all of their last three clashes.

In the last eight, Andrey Rublev – the fifth seed – likely awaits, with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina seeking to pip out the Russian for the right to face Fritz.

Lorenzo Musetti headlines the bottom half of the men’s singles draw, as the second seed, and has a potentially tricky opener against Cameron Norrie, should the Brit overcome a qualifier.

The pair have met on two occasions, albeit at clay-court events, with Musetti winning both.

Brandon Nakashima likely awaits in the last 16, with Alex de Minaur – who reached the fourth round of Wimbledon – and Jiri Lehecka the most likely opponents for Musetti in the quarter-finals.

The Australian trails the head-to-head with the world No 7 3-1, but was victorious in their only hard-court clash.

Third seed Holger Rune will begin his campaign against Alexandre Muller or a qualifier, with 13th seed Alex Michelsen – who is firmly on the rise – likely in the third round. The American reached the last eight in 2024, before being defeated in three sets by Flavio Cobolli.

2021 finalist Daniil Medvedev also lurks in the Dane’s quarter and will likely have to go through Alexei Popyrin if he wants to meet Rune.

The former world No 4 lies within Musetti’s half of the draw and is projected to clash with the second seed in the semi-final.

Ben Shelton finishes off the top four seeds, after having reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon (losing to Jannik Sinner). The American will likely open against MacKenzie McDonald, before facing off against Gabriel Diallo.

Fellow countryman Frances Tiafoe and Wimbledon quarterfinalist Flavio Cobolli are the other seeds in Shelton’s quarter.
