Andy Murray reminds Manchester United fans of the abuse they were hurling at Cristiano Ronaldo

Andy Murray was as captivated by the rest of the sporting world as Cristiano Ronaldo secured his dramatic return to Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar appeared to be on the brink of agreeing a move to United’s local rivals Manchester City, only for a dramatic intervention from United to deliver one of the most stunning transfers in recent years.
Yet some United fans who were celebrating Ronaldo’s return for a second spell at United on Friday were the same supporters who were criticising the 36-year-old as he threatened to join City.
It was a turn of events that inspired football lover Murray to remind United fans about their shifting loyalties in the brief and thrilling Ronaldo transfer story as he tweeted.
All the man united fans that were absolutely abusing Ronaldo yesterday appear to have lost their voices today…. Funny old game

Ronaldo is set to make his second debut for United next month and by then, Murray will be hoping to have enjoyed some success at the US Open.
He faces a tough task in New York after being drawn against third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round.
