ATP Rankings: Jannik Sinner surpasses tennis great, Jack Draper +3, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard +19
Jannik Sinner has overtaken a tennis legend as he continues his reign as the world No 1, while Jack Draper and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard have both reached ATP Rankings milestones.
Sinner has entered his 21st week as world No 1, which sees him surpass seven-time major winner Mats Wilander to move into 17th spot for the most weeks on top of the ATP Rankings.
The 23-year-old Italian has dropped the 500 points he earned for winning the Vienna Open title in 2023 as he did not enter the event this year. Despite this, he still holds a mammoth 4,300-point lead over world No 2 Carlos Alcaraz.
There has been no movement in the top 10 of the ATP Rankings following the ATP 500 events in Vienna and Basel.
Alex de Minaur was one of five top 10 stars in action last week, along with Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov.
The Australian reached the semi-finals in Vienna, making him the only player from this group to progress further than the quarter-finals at either event. This keeps de Minaur’s hopes of qualifying for the ATP Finals alive heading into the Paris Masters.

The 7 men with most Paris Masters titles: Novak Djokovic No 1, Andre Agassi two titles
Great Britain’s Jack Draper has climbed three spots to a new career-high ranking of world No 15 after he defeated Karen Khachanov in the Vienna Open final to win the second and biggest title of his career.
At the Swiss Indoors in Basel, huge-serving Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard downed Ben Shelton in the title match to earn a 19-place leap to his best-ever ranking of 31st. Like Draper, the 21-year-old’s victory saw him claim his second and biggest career title.
Shelton has returned to the top 20 — moving up from 23rd to 19th — after his runner-up result.
Felix Auger-Aliassime has fallen eight places from 19th to 27th as he has lost 450 points following his second round exit in Basel. The 24-year-old Canadian won the ATP 500 event in 2023.
