Boris Becker predicts how many Grand Slam titles Carlos Alcaraz will win
Boris Becker has revealed his low prediction for how many Grand Slam titles Carlos Alcaraz will win in his career.
Alacarz claimed his fourth Grand Slam at the age of just 21 when he convincingly beat Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final earlier this month.
The Spaniard became just the second man in the open era after Roger Federer to win his first four Grand Slam finals, while he reached that landmark quicker than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
He also became the youngest man to win the French Open and Wimbledon back-to-back, sparking a debate over how many Grand Slam titles Alcaraz will win in his career.
“Obviously it’s a really great start of my career but I have to keep going, I have to keep building my path,” said Alcaraz.
“At the end of my career, I want to sit at the same table as the big guys. That’s my main goal. That’s my dream right now. It doesn’t matter if I already won four grand slams at the age of 21. If I don’t keep going, all these tournaments for me, it doesn’t matter.
“I don’t know what is my limit. I don’t want to think about it. I just want to keep enjoying my moment, just to keep dreaming. So let’s see if at the end of my career it’s going to be 25, 30, 15, four.”
Alcaraz has previously stated that he believes he could get close to challenging Djokovic’s remarkable record of 24 Grand Slam titles, with Federer ending his career with 20 major titles and Nadal currently sitting on a total of 22.
Now tennis legend Becker has assessed how many Grand Slam titles Alcaraz will win, as he is convinced the Spaniard will move well into double figures.

“Look, I think the sky is the limit for Alcaraz,” said Eurosport tennis expert Becker.
“The question is, how long can he stay hungry and how long can he stay injury free?
“He plays a very physical brand of tennis and he has been prone to injuries in the past, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that he can stay fit.
“Look, if he can keep it going at his current levels for 10 years, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t have double-digit Grand Slam titles.
“That means he will get to ten and then who knows how many.
“What we have to say is there is a long road ahead and there are a lot of things that can come around the corner.”
Alcaraz’s partnership with his fellow Spanish great Rafael Nadal in the Olympic doubles competitions is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Paris 2024 Games and Becker is relishing the prospect.
“This is a dream for Spain,” added Becker. “You have Rafael Nadal, one of the all-time greats, playing with his successor. They are trying to win a gold medal and it is fantastic to see.
“Both are not known for their doubles play, but they can both be very good when they have to be in doubles.
“Alcaraz must feel amazing after winning Wimbledon and this partnership with Nadal is one for the history books. Everyone will be watching, for sure.”
Becker won Olympic gold in the 1992 Olympics in doubles and if the duo of Nadal and Alacarz join him on that list of winners at Paris 2024, it will be one of the headline-grabbing moments of the Games.
