Andy Roddick has revealed who he thinks will win the 2025 Wimbledon men’s singles event as he made his predictions for the full draw.

Alcaraz is a strong favourite for the title as he arrives at Wimbledon on an 18-match winning streak that includes victories at the Queen’s Club Championships, the French Open and the Italian Open.

The world No 2 is the two-time reigning Wimbledon champion and has already won four grass-court titles in his career.

Jannik Sinner, the world No 1, is seeking his maiden Wimbledon crown having lost an epic French Open final to Alcaraz after having three championship points earlier this month.

Novak Djokovic, who is seeded sixth, has reached the last six Wimbledon finals and is a seven-time champion at the All England Club.

Jack Draper, the world No 4, has widely been identified as the fourth favourite at his home major after Alcaraz, Sinner and Djokovic.

On his Served podcast’s Wimbledon preview show, Roddick backed Alcaraz to defeat Djokovic in the Wimbledon final for a third consecutive year.

“I don’t see Alcaraz losing to ‘Meddy’ (Daniil Medvedev) or [Alexander] Zverev on grass,” assessed the 2003 US Open winner and three-time Wimbledon finalist.

Novak Djokovic gets glowing Wimbledon endorsement from former world No 1

“Alcaraz, I picked him at Roland Garros, pick him again here. I have Alcaraz over a guy named Novak Djokovic [in the final].

“And also should we like give some context so we don’t take people for granted in real time — if Alcaraz wins this, he’s won as many Wimbledons as [Boris] Becker.

“Some other context for the six majors and three Wimbledons, he’d be tied with [Stefan] Edberg and Becker at six, like these are all-time iconic names.

“Let’s pump the brakes, we still have to play, it’s the world’s best reality show, you don’t just get given titles. But, three Wimbledons, you match Becker there, you match his total Slam count, and you’re 22.

“And Becker is a monster of this game, he is an icon of this game. This is what we’re watching, this is what we’re dealing with right now. Pretty fun.”

Roddick also revealed he expects Sinner to lose in the semi-finals to Djokovic.

Alcaraz will face world No 130 Fabio Fognini in his opening round match at Wimbledon. The 22-year-old Spaniard is projected to meet eighth seed Holger Rune in the quarter-finals, while world No 3 Alexander Zverev is a possible opponent in the last four.
