Carlos Alcaraz asked if he will attend Emma Raducanu matches after Brit’s Queen’s Club appearance

Carlos Alcaraz has reacted to Emma Raducanu watching him play at the Queen’s Club Championships and revealed whether he will return the favour at one of the Brit’s matches.
Raducanu attended Alcaraz’s 6-4, 6-4 semi-final victory over Roberto Bautista Agut at the ATP 500 tournament in London.
The appearance came just days after it was announced that Alcaraz and Raducanu will team up in the revamped US Open mixed doubles event later this year.
After the news of the high-profile partnership broke, Alcaraz declared: “She’s gonna be the boss. I’m super excited about it. I think it’s going to be great. It was an amazing idea for the tournament.
“I’ve known Emma for a really long time ago, so we know each other. I have a really good relationship with her. We are going to enjoy it, for sure.
“I will try to bring my doubles skill. We will try to win, but obviously it’s going to be really, really fun.
“I was thinking that I couldn’t play better if unless it was with Emma. I just asked Emma if she wants to play doubles with me. Yeah, I made that special request.”

In his press conference after reaching the final at Queen’s, Alcaraz was asked if he knew Raducanu watched his match and whether he had spoken to her afterwards.
“No. No, I couldn’t [speak to Raducanu],” the five-time major winner explained. “I saw on social media she came up to watch my match. I just glad. I mean, I was focused on the match. I didn’t see her (smiling).
“Just glad that she came to support, to watch my match. Yeah, I think it was great having her in the stands.”
The 22-year-old Spaniard was then quizzed on whether he will attend any of Raducanu’s matches before their US Open campaign.
“Well, it depends on the schedule, obviously,” Alcaraz said.
“I have practices. I have matches. Yeah, I would love to, yeah, if I have time, if, you know, if everything — if I’m at the club or I don’t have anything else to do, yeah, I would love to come and watch her.
“I’m watching her matches from the TV every time that I can. So watching her in real could be fun.”
