Tennis couple Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils are enjoying parenthood and they have given the world a glimpse of baby Skai Monfils with several posts on social media.

Former world No 3 Svitolina and Monfils, who tied the knot in July 2021, welcomed their daughter on October 15.

After keeping things low-key for the first couple of weeks, the first-time parents have started to share more and more content of Skai on social media.

Last week Svitolina took to Instagram to reveal “Skai’s first TikTok ☺️🎉🎈”.

Fellow tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev also became first-time parents in October. Nadal and his wife Mery Perello welcomed a boy while Medvedev’s wife Daria gave birth to a girl.

Both couples, though, have still not revealed the names of their newly-born children. Medvedev has at least shared a couple of photos of his daughter and the usually private Nadal has kept mum about his son.

Svitolina, meanwhile, is yet to confirm when she will return to competitive tennis, if at all. She last featured on the WTA Tour in March at the Miami Open before announcing she is taking a break from tennis shortly after the event.

Monfils has missed large chunks of the season due to injury as he underwent heel surgery in May, which forced him to miss the French Open and Wimbledon.

The former world No 6 only made his comeback at the Canadian Open in August, but picked up another injury and decided to end his 2022 campaign early.

However, he is set to play in several exhibition tournaments over the next few weeks as he will compete in the Africa Cares Tennis Challenge in South Africa and the World Tennis League in Dubai.
